I wish people would quit making comments about comparing pricing with motorcycles. Apples and oranges. You can't ride a motorcycle on paved paths around the city designed for bikes, you can't ride a motorcycle on miles of single track trails in Fort Ord National Monument and hundreds of other miles of trails across the country opening up for e bike use. I own a street bike I've tacked up 76,000 miles on...it's just not worth comparing price, but my new Scrambler is worth every last cent.

Right, so tired of that knee-jerk response. ebikes are a new category of vehicle, and the category is continuing to evolve. I would like to have something that I can ride like a bicycle for exercise or make short trips in car traffic at higher speeds than most bikes can handle. I don't think this is quite what I'm looking for, or whether that type of hybrid is even practical, but let's see what the makers can do.

John how long have you had your scrambler? I'm getting very interested in one of these and have been emailing back and forth with VEB. These e-bikes look extremely well made. They literally look built like a motorcycle in many regards and I like in this video how he explained the weight. I seen another review of the Shelby by a different guy where he explained the weight as a negative... but here talking about a 30 and 40 mph speed that a heavier bike is just gonna feel more comfortable and controllable. As someone that bikes a bit I know when I get going too fast I feel like the slightest bumps is gonna launch me off the trail. So this weight engineered into this makes a great deal of sense. How has your bike been holding up? Notice anything as far as charing time and life of the battery?

I give it to them, they must have their customer base figured out to be able to charge these prices for these bikes. Theyve been doing it for a while seem to have grown. Good for them.

You get what you pay for, try putting this together yourself, it'll cost you a little more and will be a real hassle. This is a bike that'll last you a long time, it is put together thoughtfully.

elevenAD I was lucky to find a used one for £3700 , its nice in terrible downpours the battery is solid and watertight , as for speed , I’ve now gone 54.3 mph on the flat recorded by a bike app using sat nav . Sure is comfortable too fat tyres and forks are dream over potholed roads , mines got the Brooks sprung seat and rear is smooth too. I’m not being paid for this I’m just thrilled with my new toy so much I’ve ordered a new one ! Shelby Cobra version ...yup it’s that good.

This review is nonsense, talking about it being "curated" and going on about the brakes. The entire thing is assembled from off the shelf parts. You can buy this frame anywhere, the electric system is just a rear hub. It wasn't some arcane expert wisdom to make the rear rotor smaller, they did that because it's cheaper. That saddle costs $10. Could build this bike yourself for $1000.

What an expensive piece of scrap metal. The question is how much did they pay you for this review? You act like the features are completely unique, the only thing unique about it, is a high price with actually not many features! The first video I ever gave a thumbs down on KZread, congratulations!
