Vintage Electric Roadster Review - $7k

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The Vintage Electric Roadster is a motorcycle-inspired electric bike with two drive modes, 20mph stock and optional 36mph "Race Mode" for use on private property or off-highway vehicle (OHV) trails, one frame size and color. Powerful gearless hub motor is durable and near-silent, pure sine wave controller delivers fluid power without buzzing and Promax Lucid hydraulic disc brakes with intelligent regenerative braking. Oversized inverted suspension with 20mm thru-axle, powerful brakes with 203mm front rotor, integrated front and rear lights, variable speed trigger throttle. Vintage bikes are a bit more expensive, fairly heavy at 86lbs, the battery isn't easily removable so charging may be less convenient, very limited display readouts.

Premium custom parts. This thing floats down the road at 36mph. Low maintenance costs. Top notch customer service. And my city laws favor bicyclists over drivers. I love it. This bike is worth it to the people that can afford it.

I like the look, but for the price I would expect to see more current designs and features: -Gates belt drive -Sliding or rocking dropouts, or eccentric BB -hub with torque arm/s instead of an oversized axle with flats -center stand -optional clip on bars(not really necessary, but would look bitchin')

Single speed but it looks good, did a woman design this and the pedals are totally cool. Personally tested? NO derailer, 86 pounds and the batteries do not come off. A really big waste of money. A custom handle bar, I am now sold on this bike. Are you nuts? Regenerate systems are useless. This makes no scene at all? Does this guy sell snake oil full time?

Sweet bike. That said, I don't see 7 grand. You could buy two or three Super 73s (depending on the model) for the price of one vintage electric! To each his or her own. If this floats you boat, go for it. Do you! This is one of the best looking electric beach cruisers I've seen. If this bike was under 5 grand I'd consider getting one. (Closer to 4 grand would be better). Nice review. My wife really likes this bike. (Okay, I like it too). Lol Bottom line, if you like it and the price isn't a issue... Buy it! Stay safe and healthy. Peace

7k… you get quality. Long lasting quality. They stand behind the bike with a 2 year warranty and compare this bike to others… it isn’t the fastest but you’ll own this bike for many years and not be left wanting. 7k is alot of money. . No arguing there. It’s the 1st and last your gonna spend. Quality.

It is 'nice' becauce it has a nice reverse fork (around 1k itself) and motor (Crystalyte 3540 whhich has no torque but can roll all day at top speed) , but, the way they put this one toghether is not optimal. For 7k I would rather use Magura MT5E 4 piston brakes, another display, an alu crank/chainring, low mownt rear brake, internally routed brake cables, another screen , double wall rims, etc... Overal , it is ok

Very respectfully, and not speaking for EBR, its pretty unlikely that they will. For a few reasons. Almost all of the bikes they review are direct to consumer or bikes sold by shops. Those guys NEED the exposure and will pay for it. Wally doesnt. They will test a product in a region and if it sells well, they will roll it out to mpre and more. 2. Ive noticed that EBR is pretty and rightfully so, selective in the bikes that they review. A. They do now charge for the review. That doesnt mean that its biased. They neg pretty unabashedly on certain things. But they are running a business and if they have makers or distros really upset about paying for a negative review, thats gonna hurt their rep and ability to do this. So if they are presented with a bike tbat they cant honestly give even a passingly decent review of in some context, i imagine that they decline the review. Trust me ive been in the ebike world for a long time and ive seen some real junk being advertised and read about devs who tried to purchase canned reviews for what essientially ammounts to mocked up models of bikes that were literally non functional or not even extant at all. That brings me to this, Wal mart ebikes sre going to be more or less just like their regular bikes. Mass produced. Super low quality and disposable bikes. It wouldnt even be worth their time to review such a bike even if wally would pay them. Trust me, ive owned ebikes of the quality that wal mart sells and they are marginally worth it in a very few situations. One you are of less than average weight. Range is not super important. Speed is not super important. Battery life is not important. You dont mind having to adjust or repair your bike much more often than an even slightly more expensive direct to consumer bike. Dont buy walmart ebikes. They are more expensive than a better bike.

Rokshox Domain Downhill fork with 7" of travel. BBSHD, 56 volt, 60 miles of range. Thudbuster. 25 pounds lighter as well. CG is over the front sprocket. 220mm front 180mm back hydraulic brakes. Lights, fenders and chainguard. Real throttle, and pedal assist. $7k is about 150% profit.
