Vietnamese Pate Chaud (Bánh Pâtesô)

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

❤️Today, I am going to share with you how to make Vietnamese Pate Chaud. Vietnamese Pate Chaud is a delectable French-inspired Vienamese meat pie made of flaky puff pastry stuffed with a savory filling of ground pork, pate, and sauteed onions. On days that I don’t want to bribe the kids to eat, I would make these yummy in my tummy treats for breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner. These beautiful meat pies are the perfect size for parties appetizer.

Chúc cháu may mắn nhé.

    What's the purpose of poking holes in the 1st layer? Is it to not make the bottom wet from the meat? New subscriber.

    It looks amazing! you explained very well with every step. I just have a question about saving it longer. If I wanted to save it for future in freezer. Is it best in pre-baked/raw form or baked? either way if I bring it out to eat, I know I must bake/toast it.. I just wonder if storing in freezer would make it soggy

    Thank you 🙏 so much! I know people would freeze it after/before they baked but my family is quite picky so I tried it once both ways and never do it again. They aren’t soggy but they aren’t as flaky.

    This reminds me of when I was a little girl and my Ba Noi used to make this! I always thought it was so difficult to make but it doesn’t seem bad at all! Looks great, I will try this. Do you have different recommendations for the cooking time in the oven if I don’t have a convection in mine? Thank you!

  • @SoSimYum

    @SoSimYum

    I am glad this reminds you of your grandma. If you don't have convection oven, just increase the time to 10%. For example, if the recipe calls for 60 minutes for convection, the it would be 66 minutes for a non-convection oven.

    Your English is fluent but the accent needs work!! It’s hilarious that you have Vietnamese on the screen instead of English! ! And the product is a little burned!

    Thanks for leaving me a comment my dear! The video is in English with Vietnamese subtitles. Viewers can turn on caption if they have a hard time understanding my English accent. I was pleasantly surprised that KZread CC was able to pick up almost all of my accent correctly 🤦🏻‍♀️ LOL. Regarding my accent ... I am hopeless in this area my dear 😭. I came to America when I was 12 years old and now I am 50 years old. I got my BS in Computer Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and had worked as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer for 10 years. I have no problem writing, speaking, and understanding the language but I have no idea why my accent is still very heavy 🤷🏻‍♀️. Believe it or not, I can write, speak, and understand English 80% better than Vietnamese. FYI: the Vietnamese subtitles in my videos were done by my friends. Anyhow, thanks goodness that my channel is a cooking channel where I shared my passion for food and not about teaching people how to speak English w/perfect accent hehehe. I hope my viewers will understand that English is my 2nd language and will not fault me for not speaking English w/perfect accent.
