Instead of pasipparupu we used kadalapparupu, and used 5 cups of water, and on checking, found that the kadalapparupu was not well cooked, so I added 2 more cups of water and the result was perfect. I prepared pongal today and it came very well. i didnt expect it will be tasty in first attempt itself. even i didnt use raw rice, i used sona masoori rice only. with raw rice i think it will be more tasty, will try next time. Thank you for the Recipe :)

One of my favorite vegetarian dish.. Was missing out during lockdown..Tried at home.. But I think the rice I used was different.. it took like 6 whistle and still didn’t come cooked.. I used ponni rice ☹️ doesn’t matter first time, still enjoyed it 🥰

Hi Steffi, I prepared venpongal for one of my Telugu friend's(as they want it in specific).. neenga sonna maderi ye vaila vacha odane valukkittu pochu💓 they are so much impressed. Credit goes to you 👍👍 evening toonga poittu just got up from bed (might be the effect of little more extra ghee that I added🤗🤗😂)
