Just got one of these this week, used it for less than 5 mins and smoke started coming out of it then the belt snapped ( so i was told by support)

This happened to mine and was replaced by Vax. It seems that some of these models were missing a small but vital metal pin that is designed to keep the belt from straying along the motor pulley and causing it to jam. The only difference between my faulty model and the replacement was the metal pin and a round green sticker on the underside of the cleaner. I have used the replacement quite a bit and the original fault has not occurred again. If you have contacted Vax, I am sure they will sort out the problem for you as I am happy with my Dual Power after the original problem was sorted.

Just opened mine up and it is a mess, shredded plastic, melted belt even the housing has been sliced right through to the white foam! only managed 6 or 7 strokes before the burning smell and smoke. Mine has the metal pin and green sticker on

How do you clean clears front nozzal

whats the best carpet cleaner you would pick out of all the makes ????

Probably the Bissell Deluxe or Premier so far.

I have a Vax PowerMax carpet washer that I had for a couple of years and its become a bit tatty.What do you think I should replace it with? +Vax +ibaisaic

I've just bought the Vax Dual Power Total Home Carpet washer. Not used it yet but I'm looking forward to using it on my stairs carpet which, I have to be honest, is over 5 years old and never been cleaned. So it should be a good test. One question I have is will it clean a shaggy pile carpet?

+Roger Burt I don't know how it would do on a shaggy carpet, as I only used mine on short pile. It doesn't pick up the water very well, even on short pile, so it would leave a long pile carpet quite wet. I don't use Vax carpet washers anymore as I prefer my Bissell. Make sure you register the guarantee with Vax as you may be needing to claim against it.

+Roger Burt I did, but I have since used better machines and I am sick of the poor reliability from Vax products.

I think should one more vaccines for collection RICCAR Radiance deluxe edition

+Abir The CarKid I found the Bissell Deluxe to be better than the Vax models I've used and not as noisy.
