I fitted mine today. I love it! What a fantastic modification and really good quality!

Visited VanKraft today where they fitted the bench seat bracket and back board to my T5.1 bench seat. What a nice chap. Only took an hour. This has transformed the ride for passengers. This is a must for any VW camper with a bench seat.

Great product. Board measured, cut and bracket fitted in an afternoon.

Fantastic product, easy to fit and great improvement over old hinge. However, and this is nothing to do with the hinge, I folded the seat down only for the seat belt to jam and not be able to get the seat back up. Totally locked in the folded position. After much cursing and head scratching I finally undid the seat belt anchor bolt under the seat,thus releasing it and everything ok. Have since found out others have had the same problem with some folding seats, and I stress it is not the hinge. For some reason the seat belt does not like the horizontal ! Some tie a knot in the seatbelt before folding or get a belt stopper. Easy when you know how !!

Brilliant product and if you follow this video guide you wont have any probs fitting it.

This is a great product. Just fitted to my T5 and works a treat. I’m 6’4 so the extra angle on the seat means I can sit in it without hitting my head! Just a question, do you have the drawings/measurements for the board? I’d like to make one and just thought it might save me a bit of trial and error? Thanks!

Thanks for the video. Is there any product that could aloud the back rest to fold on the opposite direction so that the co-driver can relax and / or sleep ?

Is the Kiravan swivel seat compatible with this braket? (since the angle of the bench is different).

I just got the bracket, but in my 2011 T5.1 one of the 3 skrews is thicker, so I have to change it to a thinner one. Just to let you know.

Do you need the back bored to sit on the seat once folded? Or is it ok to not use?

I love this! Can it be fitted to a kiravan swivel seat?

@@christhepepep Hi Chris - it was fitted to our kiravan swivel seat - just need to put the backrest in a slightly forward position before turning. An excellent addition. 💕🐾

Thanks for the video. Fitted the hinge and very happy with it. We cut 3mm hardboard to give a firm surface but it definitely won't mean we can stand on it. Would love to know if anyone has a good solution which would make it suitable to stand on?

Looks like a great product but whats the reasoning for the shape of the backboard? Doesn't that notch give a less solid section of the back or is it to fit round something?
