I watched this video awhile back and thought about the buckle issue you mentioned because I have a pair of Sway Team IV and was hoping I wouldn't ever run into that problem. It sounded less than enjoyable. Well, today it happened, and it instantly reminded me of this video. So now I'm rewatching the video to remind myself

Great review! My buddy just got the Farmer Sways and he’s been having a little issue with heel lift even with the 45° strap. I shared this video to him so he can try out the shoe goo. I’ve been skating the Aeon Basic 60 IIs (no 45 degree strap) and can agree that they are only comfortable with the stock liner for about 2hrs. Also, I tried on his farmers and can confirm that they are indeed light like the Aeons. One last thing, his soul plates are definitely faster than mine.

So, as an intermediate "urban" skater I was always interested to try aggressive skating but I wasn't... brave enough? Anyway, I was watching those "serious" channels like USD and stuff but still I wasn't sure. And then I've found this place... I've watched all the videos basically one after another and new pair of Sway 57 is coming to me. There's just something about your videos that I couldn't find anywhere else. I wish you all good luck, stay safe and keep rolling.

I just recently got back into skating and got the Sway 57 skates in the 11-12 size. My sole plates were riveted on, and the right one was all kinds of crooked. The rivets are easy to get out (use a punch and they hammer out really easily). I used some standard T-nuts (#8 because I couldn't find metric in my area) from the hardware store and corresponding tapered-head machine screws (I had to countersink the hole a little). The tapered-head machine screws in the countersunk holes allowed the screw to seat deep enough to clear the bottom of the sole plate.

And he really is enjoying those Symetrics too! Great review!

This helped me decide to spend the little bit extra and go with Aeon 60s. I won't be grinding cement so I'm hoping they last a while to counteract the cost increase vs these or the XXIs lol. These(in some version) will still probably be my go to pair if I need something with swappable parts in the future though

Nice video! I have the sways too I'm a size eleven and had to use a hair dryer to get rid of pressure points as they were too narrow. Also feel like the buckle and heel lift are annoying but as you mentioned nothing you can't fix easily for cheap, great skate for the price in my opinion 👍

This is that skate I really was hoping would be the throne replacement. I haven't tried it to be honest.

Great review man! Glad the pic's came in handy! Shame about the lace eyelet! I do think they are amazing skates and just think they should put a little more money into the quality and they will have a completely solid flawless product!

I've been skating the blue power slide sways for 3 years with gc3 frames and I like them better than my razor SL skates

Hey Corey, thanks for the review! I am torn between getting these or aeons, and was wondering why you moved on from the aeons. I have been on Roces/Valo for a long time, and want to try something new. Right now I’m on 5th elements, but the lack of power transfer and the extra forward flex, make them a little “sloppy”/bulky. The aeons look like they strip down the extra and are still supportive.

Did you see the new models with exchangable cuffs and no rivets but screws for the soulplate? Still nice budget skates.
