There is no tie from Uruguay side. Just some nonsense from some Ghana fans. The truth is that the Uruguayan DT didn't think that Korea was going to win it and he dismantled the team to ensure a victory. Korea/Portugal was 7 minutes ahead, so when Korea scored at 91, Uruguay went pushing again. Give it another 10 minutes and a fair referee and Uruguay would have scored. Congratulations to Korea anyways, we like this country.

@@jason_mi1k_lee did you watch the match? Uruguay made 4 substitutions to make a more defensive team and didn't attack Ghana until they were informed that Korea scored- at min 84 in the match. Check a detailed highlight and see how Uruguay was defending with 6 players, to ensure a victory because the dt never thought Korea could win. The goal situations after Korea scored were nothing of danger. Uruguay already substituted the best strikers and had the whole team tired. Stop the nonsense.

He's probably going to play in Brazil for another 4 years. But I expect he'll retire from international duties after Copa America 2024 (as will Edinson Cavani), he's already slowed down a fair amount and Uruguay have some excellent striker prospects coming through like Darwin Nunez and Facundo Pellistri.

Sorry, but Ghana doesn't have any international football history. Also, judging by comments i see, most people in Ghana doesn't seem to know much about football. Uruguay always respected Ghana and all African teams. But Ghana is not respecting Uruguay when they did not do anything wrong. It's a competition, not a friendly match. You have to win. Uruguay team doesn't fear Ghana and it was shown in the field.

The arbitration was against Uruguay throughout the cup, but that's not what others talk about, because only 3.5 million of us have seen the entire Uruguay cup and not just one play like all the rest. Because there was no foul. Cavani intended the contact and the ref wasn´t fooled by that. Rightfully so!

This was Uruguay's game, they dominated just as they did against Portugal. Too many close calls, just unlucky this time around. In my opinion Uruguay deserved to win against both, Portugal and Ghana, and should have advanced to the last for standing. Uruguay is definitely one of my favorite teams, an amazing achievement for a country of 3 million.
