Well, in the World Cup we are 4/4 in penalty shootouts, but in the European competitions we're 0/2 (lost to Turkey in the Euro 2008 QF and the final of the Nations League final against Spain in 2023). So all Croatian fans, young and old now know both the joy of winning a penalty shootout and the pain of losing one (it hurts more when it's the final).

Your team had 85 per cent of the spectators on their side. All the media that followed the World Cup saw Brazil as one of the favourites of the tournament, and so many of them were disappointed by Brazil's game. But Croatia played well and deserved to win. We did not take anything from you because it does not belong to you until you win it. I agree it would have been fun to see Brazil vs Argentina, and I understand that it is hard to accept the loss of your team because it was hard for me, too, but Croatia won fair and square, and whatever your perception might be, Brazil had a large majority of football fans on their side.

That day, the most exciting world cup was ended with the tears with the brazilians. Brazil’s world cup journey was like the reflection of life.. They were going so well and kept going suddenly it falls apart. Heart break has no words, no expression, no sound. Silence will grab you like curse. Even from another Nation( Bangladesh) my heart still aches for the night. All the joys turned into agony that night. There is no bitter feeling than loosing in the World stage. May be football has a different language... Just may be, just may be.

What Brazil's national team lacks is a foreign (European) coach. Brazilians are a passionate and temperament nation and oftentimes it doesn't bring them positive things. They scored the goal against Croatia and they got into euphoria, relaxed mode, nonchalance...on the other hand Croatia has that cold, calm, never give up approach until referee blows the final whistle...and Brazilians started panic, that's their temperament screaming. If they had a foreign coach he would know how to calm them and they would go further in tournament. Brazillians play best with foreign coaches, with their own coaches they become arrogant

As a non-Croatian, I was supporting the Croatian while my parents are supporting Brazil, I want Croatia beats Brazil because I dont Argentina to face Brazil again after Copa America 2021 (and since the last time Argentina face Brazil was in the qualifiers but was cancelled), however My dad was at mad with me that I let Croatians win. I remeber 4 years ago that My dad supports Croatia in the 2018 WC over the two team that I support: England and France, the reason my dad now doesnt support Croatia anymore becaue the Croats beat my own country Canada. I have sometime supports Brazil before the quarterfinals. But now this is why I will not talk to any Brazillians (espically my mom friend who is also Brazilian) about this World Cup after the lost after aganist Croatia, as well my support with Croatia.
