He does a tremendous job of making the audience feel every ounce of tension in the air through the screen!

I swear being an England fan will be the death of me one day with all the tension and anxiety you feel, all the ups and downs, embarrassments, controversy, near misses and semi triumphs. It is a complete rollercoaster but that's why we love the game of football.

Snap! I'll never ever forget this night and where I was when this happened! The despair from Hendersons miss that turned to relief and joy and jubilation that I can't describe when pickford saved 🙏🏽. Never felt anything like it was incredible... Genuine tears of happiness knowing our horrendous record on penalty shootouts!

I'm not a fan of Pickford but the boy stood up to be counted when it mattered. Kudos. Henderson just looked massively nervous. I remember Giggs doing keepy upeeys on his way to take a shootout pen against Southampton 30 years ago...he missed too.

I was watching this at my grandparents with my english uncle and Colombian aunt and it has to be one of the most incredible games that I had watched

I still felt the tension even when I knew how this one ended. It's 2022 and we will see scenes like this again

Was watching this sat outside the Pantheon in Rome via the restaurant TVs. Sooooo many Colombians were sat around and me and my girlfriend seemed to be the only English people. Even the Italian waiters were supporting Colombia. It was a funny atmosphere. When we won we celebrated with Ice Cream and a nice walk to the Trevi Fountain.

I do love watching penalty shoot-outs ! So many over the decades, so many "top" players have missed, sometimes their team still wins...sometimes not. Some penalties go in that if the keeper had gone the other way / stood their ground they may well have saved . I know all penalties that go in count equally...but the very best are those where the keeper goes the right way but still cannot stop them due to speed/placement .....

El reglamento especifica: "En el momento del golpeo del balón por el lanzador, el guardameta deberá tener al menos parte de un pie en contacto directo con la línea de meta, sobre esta o por detrás de esta.". En la repetición del minuto 7:00 se aprecia claramente cómo Pickford mantiene su pie izquierdo sobre/detrás de la línea al momento del golpeo. Él puede adelantar su otro pie todo lo que quiera mientras cumpla con esta condición. Fue un movimiento totalmente legal.

El partido que nos debía el fútbol desde Italia '90. Fue muy dramático y tenso; Colombia no llegaba con buenas sensaciones a Rusia, a su vez que su fase de grupos fue de menos a más. Ese partido parecía que Colombia sería arrasado por Inglaterra pero no, se dejaron la piel y estuvieron cerca de lograrlo. En aquel tiempo estaba saliendo con una colombiana y recuerdo que le dije que Colombia no pasaría de fase de grupos; el día del 3-0 a Polonia me mandó mensaje para recordarme de la victoria y lo bien que jugó su selección y, cuando los eliminaron, la llamé para que escuche como el comentarista decía: "Ha caído Colombia eliminada en penales" jajajan qué bonitos recuerdos, cuando me despedía de la juventud para asumir las responsabilidades de la vida adulta.

Being a english fan still can’t believe that England won a penelty shoot out in knockout match 😂

Partido muy sufrido donde ambos equipos dejaron mucho que desear con su fútbol. Inglaterra solo pudo marcar de penal y Colombia solo pudo marcar porque Yerry Mina fue nuestro ángel de la guarda ese mundial. Ambos equipos jugaron muy rastreros y un juego muy físico donde se incomodaron hasta el hastío. La tanda de penaltis fue un justo castigo donde el fútbol se decantó por Inglaterra. Los 3 leones rompieron su racha de perder en penaltis y Colombia cerró un proceso histórico sin perder el partido jugándole a un equipo europeo de a igual. El Fútbol es divino y quien sabe que hubiera pasado despues si Dier falla ese penal y Bacca marca el suyo.

Como colombiano no hubiéramos echo mucho con Reinaldo rueda como técnico… Pero ahorra tenemos un buen equipo y técnico y creo que podríamos llegase hasta más lejos si dios nos permite.
