    I always upgrade mids and highs first. I know kids today don't care nothing about sound quality. But I've always made it sound really good then I get the subs. I like beating as hard as possible but still sounds clean.

    Wow I'm a kid I'm just 14 I love sound quality bass isnt always my focus I still need to learn what the highs and mid are I think mid are treble and highs are vocals.

    I have always done the same . I am 42 now and most people are distortion impaired lol. Back when I was growing up and now. I know some younger people that have systems today and yeah, what is sound quality? 🤣 They just want it to be loud. Doesn't matter if it sounds like shit or not. My friends always want a louder system but they only invest in subs or a newer amp.

Also have an old school rockford power t300.2 monster class ab that does like 430w per channel at 1ohm. naturally it's full range and it really does sound godlike. They'll never make em like that again. It's known as one of the most underrated Rockford amps of all times. I may be getting rid of it if you want it to run your whole system. You can hook up 4 x4ohm speakers to each channel!

    I tried that amp previously, and it was a little noisy. It had a hiss that I suppose my brain got used to, and eventually I didn't notice it; but, if I listened, it never went away. But, the music sound easily overpowers it. The punch it had was pretty impressive for being so small and with such low amp draw. I would presume that if used only for highs that the hiss would be even more noticeable.

    Great video man. Question, I just bought a used car off a lot and noticed the audio is terrible in it. I hear the top speakers/tweeters working but the bottom large speakers on the doors not working. Is it okay to hookup a 3 way speaker and keep the original tweeters there or just buy a single component woofer on the bottom?

    I just impulse bought an American bass xr10! God knows I didn't need another sub as my NVX vcw 10 is perfect. I had it in a prefab and wasn't satisfied so I built a birch 1.5 cube box with a 3in aero port. it's for my wagon so I'm not into tons of weight and huge boxes which is why I took my mdf aeroport dual massive hippo 8 box out which weighed 100lbs almost. I hope what they say about the XR is true that it isa SQ version of the XFL

    Nice upgrades I can't believe your factory speakers lasted that long lol that was ALLOT of abuse I bet it's a night and day difference in your mids and highs .IMO you should of just hooked up the 6x9's to the amp also but SUPER happy for you bro.Nxt upgrade should be some sound deadener for your back hatch and as needed in the rear and behind each door speaker you'll be surprised how much of a difference it makes .Keep up the good work homie #BASSHEADS

    Have 2 Skar amps and they are great. I have heard their subs and they rock, but often wondered how good their speakers compared to JL Audio and Digital Designs.

    Russyl Royer I run the tx 6x8s in my doors. They sound great and have held up very well. Not high end but with tuning they are awesome little gems. Plus they have some great lower end on the mid bass.

    It all depends. I have JLs high-end subs and they work better with the JL amps than other amps. The w712" is 3ohm. The slash1200v3 amp plays full power 1-4 ohm. JL is meant to run with JL amps which gets pricey quick.

    JL and DD speakers have extremely solid sound quality. They're basically as good as you can get in terms of all around quality. But... They also cost like 10X as much as skar speakers lol. The day i drop $1300 on a 12" sub is the day i win the lottery.

    Yeah I definitely would have used that alpine amp to run the front stage and rear doors then spliced the super tweets onto same channel as front stage or just ran them off head unit power you would be surprised the difference that would make bud.... just try it and see what you think if ya don't like it go back to how you have it now lol but it is going to really wake things up musically and there's no way you'd go back once you try it lol

  • @tx1999

    Instead of splicing you can just add a crossover

  • @kevinAuman1

    @kevinAuman1

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@tx1999 well for simple testing he could use the existing crossover that separates his tweeter in the 6x9's or rear component set and essentially they're just piggybacked with those tweets and that costs him nothing just time and tinkering but yes I would eventually get a set of crossovers which you can pick up fairly cheap or just another amp so he has an additional dedicated channel for them and all components are amplified and adjustable...
