Installing Two Amplifiers underneath a seat in a Chevrolet Tahoe - Part 2 - Under $275

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Part 2 of our installation on a 2002 Chevy Suburban! This part focuses on installing two amplifiers underneath the left rear passenger seat. One of our Blaupunkt amplifiers is a Class-D for our (2) 12 inch subwoofers. The second Blaupunkt amplifier, runs all four of our component speakers in the doors. We show how tro built the entire amp rack with full wiring. These two amplifiers are under $275 and will make an amazing upgrade to the most basic car audio system.

    @@darrianbenjamin7292 100% agree. I get tired of reading comments about they should of used this brand of amp. Or that brand of speaker. Not everyone has a sky's the limit budget. They just want some better than factory sound in their daily driver. Hell most of my gear, is stuff I've collected over the years. Some really good upper end stuff. Some middle of the road stuff. All that matters is that I'm happy with it. Lorenzo did a great install with his customers budget in mind. I'm pretty sure the customer will be happy when he hears it.

    I have to say I am impressed with your attention to details from the use of nut certs in the plastic panel to counter sinking the mounting holds for a flush fit and laying out the wiring in a very clean organized way. From one professional to another. I would be proud to have you in my shop. Top notch.

    I loved doing installs like this as a hobby in my own cars, in the cars of my friends and for some of my relatives. The passion started in high school and continued on well past post-graduate educational training. I’m well into my 40’s now with my own children and hope to teach them things like this. As you can very well see, doing something like this takes patience and planning and foresight. Of course you can just plug everything in then just let the components float around in your trunk & under your seats, but part of my own satisfaction was routing the wires, cutting them to the exact lengths needed, crimping or soldering the cable ends on then securing & protecting the ends with shrink wrap. Man, as many have already stated, this is a very clean install and watching your painstaking attention to detail was more than satisfying. It was downright therapeutic! Keep up your awesome “functional artwork”. Regardless of how old or beaten-up any car may be, it can always benefit from an upgraded audio system. Thank you so much for your video(s)!

    I am like you in my 40's and I started in high school i have 2 kids 22 and 16. I did not realize kids were still in too putting systems in cars till i saw my son watching a youtube video when he was about 14. I asked him you like that he said "i cant wait till I get my car and put a system in it. So I gave him my old car and we started working on a system in his when he 15. On his 16 bday took him to get his DL and let him drive on to school. I will always remember him pulling out the driveway that day and turning up the music headed to school.

    @@idk420blazeit it is rewarding to do it myself and appreciate a job well done. Also good learning experience as I troubleshoot and fix things like for instance the Kicker KEY2004 I installed behind the dash didn't have enough slack on the harness so it was pulling the speaker wire pins back in the harness connected to the amp and losing signal. I got a length of speedwire and added 10 inches and soldered it all together with shrink tube...no issues since. Plus I soundproofed all 4 doors and wow those kicker KSS 6.5 components really shine now. Can't wait to add the HS10 😁

    @@jrockaz548 I hear you but I think people expect amps to do their rated power. Blaupunkt is almost as bad as BOSS in that area. I don't think anyone should hand over their money to a company who lies and counts on the consumer being uniformed. I'm sure they used CCA wire too. I feel like CCA wire is dishonest. I think most people who have CCA wire in there car just aren't educated about the subject.

  • @JimmyTheProstitute

    @JimmyTheProstitute

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@Titans2138 CCA wire isn't bad depending on your application. If your wire can handle the amperage you are sending to it then it's not a big deal. If you are trying ti maximize your peer based in the gauge wite you are using then OFC is your best bet. But I think CCA is something like 70-80% efficieny of OFC. So if you have oversized 1/0 CCA for a monoblock 4 gaguge input amp and you have calculated your required amps you will be fine.

    Hi Lorenzo great To watch. Very Clean and tidy. Have question. Not Started yet but got most of what I need. X-type jag screen head unit. Very Silly Question. 4 speaker's to head unit (8) cut connect wires to Amp. Other 8 to RGB converter from head unit. If I still wanted to use head unit as normal can you get a 3 way splitter to cross wires back to Standard. I know you're thinking why would you do that. I want to be able to use both. Only using the Amp as & when. But also using Car Standard too. I think I've worked it out. I wondered if they was a unit that can do this? I found a 4 way shut off. Yes means clicking 4 switches to turn them off. But not Cross over on to Standard or back to Amp. Also adding a on/off to Remote wire. This would shut Amp off but be nothing sound wise. The unit with 4 on/off on it looks pretty easy to modify to 3 way to cross over. Is they a unit Out there without getting messy. Hopefully you understand. I'm no Expert but can do most things. Hope you can help. 👍

Cant afford high output alternator. Its not dimming or giving me problems at all with two amps 1000rms so another 400 rms think i be okay?

    Hi guys! Not sure I picked up how were the remote turn on wires connected? Were they just daisy chained or connected together? Where did you take the source turn on signal from?

  • @Qualitymobilevideo

    Yes, they were daisy chained from the aftermarket headunit.

    You are better off running larger gauge wire than a cap.

    @Hello There I install for nashville music executives, and country music artists. I know they have much more funds then were seeing here but if your gonna redo a crap install at least use good stuff .The stuff being used here is things you would find in a cheap install kit man .yea I do the speed typing method. Those amps in like the 80' 90' s were pretty good but now there just terrible quality
