    I bought a audio control Lc2 I to add to my factory stereo in a VW Caddy Highline. I have 2 amps. A mono amp for my jl audio sub and a 4 channel which I'll be using 2 channels only for JL coaxial in the doors. I bought a Steve meade DD-1 to set my amp gains. How do I go about doing this when a Lc2i is being used. Any help and advice from anyone is much appreciated 👍 great channel 💪

    My Rockford amp had a Bass knob but I couldn’t find a place I liked to mount it in my Ram. So I made a digital potentiometer circuit and used 2 small momentary buttons that I hid behind the fabric on my arm rest. So all I had to do was press where my hand usually sat, and adjust the bass as needed. Hidden and works well.

Most of my time is going into becoming a different type of profesional so, I can’t afford to pay an installer like yourself (one day) but for now I’m happy to produce what I can, even if it’s only half of the quality you do... it makes me happy ✌🏼

Last weekend the time has come and i installed my new audio equipment in my new car after nearly planned it for two months and it’s awesome but it looks not so perfect like yours. I wished i had so much tools that you have, especially the router. You inspired and helped me so much and i wanted to say thank you, hopefully we all can see lot more videos from you.

    my dad had an audio control amp in the mid 90s that had a 10 way dsp adjustable on top of the amp built in. It got stolen from our storage unit while we were moving, along with his solo 10, my first ruger 10/22 and a bunch of other stuff that I do not remember. This was in 1999. But man, his mb quart reference mids, tweets with that solo 10 and audio control amp in his badass suburban was so cool. That's the vehicle I was 16 in. I still have my audio control 2xs from that era with a pair of the 6.5 mb quarts out of that burb... paired with my ppi powerclass. (first gen, lets be real the only one that matters). 250. 2100 and 450. I am getting ready to put some of it in my 95 fj80. I am going to put the rest which came out of my 97 civic coupe back in the coupe. I still have it! 94000 miles. that i put on all but 48 from the showroom. People give me so much shit about keeping the car I had when I was 16. But it's about to be b18c5 swapped and I can't tell you how many car shows I have been to where people are regretful of getting rid of the car they drove in highschool.

    It's probably best to protect the pcb of the ACR3. The moisture in colder days could corrode /damage the connectors and solder joints. I would unsolder the LED's and the potmeter and install them separately to populate those unused caps. I'm looking forward to the make over and how it will turn out. 😋👍

    You almost have the setup I want in this video....... I want the D 4.800 and an LC 1.800. Sooo much easier and less wiring needed for that setup over my bit 10, amps and passive crossovers. I would run my Morel Hybrids active with the D 4.800 and then run my 12w6v3 with the LC 1.800. I need money!

  • @phizzle24

    @phizzle24

    5 жыл бұрын

    Tickle Fingers that would be an excellent system. Running active with everything (crossovers/slope/levels/time alignment) is a step or 5 forward, especially with the Morel Hybrids, they need the powahhh! I’m curious why you aren’t already running active with your current setup considering you have the Audison Bit 10? Might be worth a shot as it would be a lot cheaper than new equipment, although weigh up resale of old equipment as well. Just in case you aren’t aware (don’t know your knowledge of it is all, no offence intended), remember to put an inline resister on each tweeter when running active so that if there is every a failure in the signal chain, your tweeters aren’t instantly blown by trying to play frequencies too low. Good luck with the next stage of the system 🙂

    Not saying this is you but WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE fall on this crutch of "Man I can't do that, I don't have the tools". Instead of finding reasons you CAN'T do something find a way you CAN. I seriously just had a guy send me pics this week that made a BEAUTIFUL one of a kind subwoofer enclosure. He did the whole thing in his back yard with literally a circular saw and a cheap router mounted upside down in a piece of scrap wood. He found a way to make it work. I didn't always have the tools I do now. Quality tools make things go faster and get a better finish, but you can still get great results with cheap tools and SKILL. And for the record, I have made several "cheap tool" videos, and no one really watches them, which sometimes makes me think people rather just complain than learn. kzread.info/dash/bejne/qZplraaznb25daw.html

I’m choosing between 2 taramps amplifiers, one is giving 3000 rms output at 1 ohm and another amplifier is 5000 rms at 1 ohm. Which one will be best for this setup? And also i have more questions, is 3000 or 5000 rms power more than subwoofers need? Is this extra power going to blow subwoofers? Or do I use 2500 rms amplifier? Thank you

    @caraudiofabrication and fellow viewers, I need your input. Thanks to this channel, I've made the effort to install a sound system in my current car and I'm so close to finishing it that I'm amazed I even got that far. I made mistakes, wasted money on wooden speaker spacers, did my research and I'm now at a point whereby I have 99% of the items sorted. I just need to install my speakers and route my speaker cables to my doors. This project was an effort in learning how to do a sound install for myself and to see what was required. I could have just paid someone to do it for me but I wanted to learn so I see the money as education expenditure rather than a waste. Right now I need to get a new subwoofer and I'm looking for a good entry level SQ sub that works well but doesn't blow the budget. It'll go into a Toyota Corolla. I previously had a Targa sub, now I have a second hand Evo and I'm looking at a Polk, DLS, JBL, Rockford Fosgate etc brand as I'd like to hear the bass but not be overwhelmed by it. Does anyone have any suggestions? Your inputs are much appreciated.

    Hi, What I'am unable to understand is ---- why some components speakers have small form factor crossover and some have a big one. Alpine have a small and lets say Hertz or Helix or Gladen or Ground Zero have the big one, I have in purpose mentioned specific names ( I have looking to upgrade my stock audio system, today: 2 way components ( front and back ) not bad in sound quality for stock audio really, just not good enough for me... What I have intended to upgrade : 2 way components ( front and back ) just high end ( SQ / SQL ), amplifier ~ 800 W RMS 5 or 8 channels, sound processor 6 or 8 channels, subwoofer. So why speakers with 500$ price tag ( Alpine X-S65C) have small crossover box with only 2 capacitors ?

    No, recessed wouldn't have left enough material for screws to hold into, and even if i did it would be more work than simply cutting a clearance hole.

    Will be waiting for the sub install video. I'm running a single RF P3D4 10 in a sealed (I know, I know, but I need room over boom) box in a 2 door JK. Built the box to occupy the same area as your install in this jeep. Mine is mounted on passenger side though. Thoughts of adding another 10 on the driver's side and another 500 watts to drive it, or ditching the P3 for something else, have crossed my mind.

    Learn this now and save yourself a lot of head ache. There is no BEST. It's what is best for you and this depends on many variables. Budget, size of install, fitment, etc. You will have to do some research to determine what is best for you.

    What type of board are you using for the amp rack? It looks similar to King Starboard. If you haven't heard of this product before you can check it out here: www.boatoutfitters.com/material/plastic-sheet/king-starboard I have no affiliation with the company and just thought I'd share it because I think you'll find it interesting. Thanks again for a great video!
