I think you did a great comparison because most people that are building a system are looking at the same ones u tested. I have the skar 3.5 titanium and the skar aluminum domes as well. Now I want to buy those pioneers because of this video. Much cleaner. Thanks bud.

The orion and the prv were the most crisp to me . The red n black tweeter and the one to the left of the small pioneer tweeter sounded nice as well. Thanks for the video, you just saved me alot of time. I subbed.

Comparison is always best video i look on youtube. usually just watch without subscribe, just to avoid crazy notification boombing me. But watched two of your videos and directly brougth me to subscribe button. Appreciate for all your effort, keep it like this, you're helping people.

You are doing the lords work man. Not many places you can see tests of so many different models of speakers etc. Plus you can give feedback listening to them all at the same time in person. Valuable information.

Extremely taxing for your ears to listen from start to finish at one go but still could pick up the massive clarity difference when we got to the first pioneer. Others had very minor differences between. Well done, thank you.

My favourite was the small Pioneer and the small one on the left of it.

To compare tweeters you need music at high frequency (violin or voice instead of a drum).

Skar VX200 6th from left, is a Chinese brandless tweeter that anyone can stick its brand on. In Thailand It is sold for $6 a piece but I bought nonbranded a pair for the same price. This tweeter can be easily dismantled and I filled the back chamber of the ring diaphragm with cotton. It got rid of 3khz resonance shouting and damped the ring. Once equalized, it became a fabulous 8 ohm 90db HIFI tweeter.

Very nice. Appreciate the help. Only running a Orion 750.4 with a birth rms of 205watts/channel at 2 ohms which will still run both front and rear component sets very well.

@Drummer Beat Off Since b4 I was aware of it at the beginning of the 2000s Orion tests each amplifier b4 sending it off. They call it that which is genius and helpful because no amp is exactly the same, necessarily. So if you check out unboxing videos of Orion Amplifiers they typically show the sheet rite when they open it. Id check out Big D's channel "Williston Audio Labs". I store my sheet next to my birth certificate as well. LOL

Nice video. You should try the ciare ct440. More expensive but most likely way better sounding and also way louder. I’m using 4 of these with a bms4599he in a exponential horn.

I have the pyle pdbt19 tweeters and they sound amazing only problem is if they are not tuned properly they can sound very harsh so in my equalizer I tend to turn the highs a bit lower but you can still hear everything amazing.In my opinion the best tweeter for the price

Either use a real cross over eq or change the bass capacitors to lower values.

@@josephnelson5006 I do run a proper crossover it's just that these tweeters are very good sounding at all times but if you dont tune them you're ears will ring as they can go very loud

fro the money it seemed like the cobalt sounds the best

You have to try the B&C DE35-8 tweeter Sounds crazy loud

I think it would be cool to see you make some home Speakers out of the best ones you selected

When using these tweeters what should you put the HPF of your Amp too?

I have tha Skar 1" super tweeter on my Harley and it sounds bad ass paired with the midrange speakers I have

I just bought the DS18 TW220. I haven’t got them hooked up yet, I decided to go with those bc getting the replacement parts seemed to be much easier and I’ve seen good reviews. Thank you for the video.

The Orion So far is very impressive

the red bullet horn pioneer first and then the orion are the best sounding to me.

On this end it sounds to me the pioneer is most detailed and best, Orion is pretty smooth and a little more laid back but still good.

Pioneer makes good stuff for the price, I have a set of the pioneer bullet tweeters and they're nice and clear without being too harsh.

Nice that someone is doing some kind of tests, but why not try out small flange neo dome/RR tweeters that are a lot smaller, a lot higher quality sounding and still not more expensive than anyone of these? I am out of car sound atm but I don't get it. Every single dome of some quality are able to put out the spl needed at these distances. And, they most often sound good too. Try the SB29/21RDC dimple dome, XT25SC90/XT19, D26NC56/BC25SC55 and so on that are proven high SQ drivers. Look to home hifi gear. Also, use the same XO for all of them, for a fair test setup.

Wish you would have tested the Skar VX4-ST.

Hey man can you do a comparison of all the small tweeters that will fit in a oem factory car location? I know you said the audiopipe sounds like crap but I just cant fit ANY of those tweeters in my car. I dont know what one to buy i need a small one...

The Orion and the Pioneer had the cleaner sound to me... 🧐

Yes those are the 2 that stood out for me too.The red bullet pioneer and the orion next.

PRV was definitely the strongest but that cobalt was the best balance to me , but I hear they do not last .

I run 2 of the timpano super tweeters in my front doors and 2 skar super tweeters in my A pillars

from litsening throo a mid range speaker only you can tell . the riva and large pioneer have th best crossover range . 2k or so , you can test it with a signal analyser app and a mic

It would help if you were playing them with a mid so we can tell how it blends. My ears aren't trained to listen to tweeters this way. They all hurt my ears.

No ones ears are trained to listen to tweeters this way; the designers certainly didn't intend it. It would be interesting to test these tweeters properly and see if they rate differently.

Listen to the higher fs, with some you can hear more details and higher tones

Which tweeter was the loudest and cleanest to u the smaller ones then wich one of the bigger ones wire louder and cleaner than the other

Those are increasingly difficult to source. They're also super good because they're made by Fostex.

What Frequency are you playing these tweeters at doh?

You should test the Pioneer TS-S20 20mm

Rockford tweeters are the best by far from my experience 4” to be exact

The skar and ds18 billet are the best two to be heard from a block away you just have to know how to set your gains with them

Try silk-dome but paper-cone (need "belt"-clothes hemming-tape to join the two disaggreeing materials. Due to the performance of paper, the diaphragm should be bigger than most other cone materials (sillicone for punch, rubber for bass reverb, aramid and kevlar for thick skin, ...) Test 6 inch for paper-cone tweeters to smoothen and air the sound ( check dispersion angles)

Hello Mike I just stumbled across your videos last night was considering different mid-range speakers I broke out my headphones and literally laid in the bed for hours upon hours listening I was pretty sold on the prv Neo until you broke out that Arnold but anyways now I see this video on the super tweeters I was wondering if you have done any vivid's before I go searching testing 1 in Dome tweeters I have ran several Brands over the years obviously some better than others but I would definitely like to see this test if you haven't done them they are obviously a lot cheaper to buy then mid-range so not sure when you'll see this but like I said please let me know if you've done the test and I will definitely check it out thanks

Glad i bought them..the pyle super tweets are clean and cheap..very detailed..

I had the skar tweeters vx200 they were loud without a amp as soon as I ran my Deaf bonce hannibal AHL 300.4 they didnt last not even 6 mins and blew which tweeter would you recommend that wont blow and can handle the amp?

Any Timpano or orion super tweeter if you want small ones then Im gonna do soon all small 1" tweeters

I love my dynaudio not as popular but everyone who hears my doors cant believe how clear everything is.

Sound quality are horns just loud or can they produce great quality sound compared to silk dome tweeters

I guess a benefit of buying them like this is you can return them all together.
