Worthy to add that in years 1936-1939 in Maharishi ashram , great Polish woman Wanda Dynowska was meditating in order to experience enlightenment. Her meditation effort was stopped because of Second World War and neccesity to be active in society .She translated some of Maharishi teachings into Polish languague. She also met Krishnamurti and Dalai Lama.

dear Samaneri I found this so direct and simple but so profound . Keeping it simple even though it may require trust in the right effort , With time and right causes and conditions we can become the free flowing awareness and all sankharas just dissolve away . Experiencing a few minutes or moments of this bliss and unconditional love surpasses the worldly realm of being a human .Cultivating the true nature provides a respite from this samsara . We are grateful to the Buddha and all great Masters and Sangha for giving us some nourishment for the mind, Sadhu 3x With Metta Meera

Worthy to notice that Sri Ramana Maharishi attained enlightenment on spot, one evening, as 17-teen years old young man, without previous meditation practice and without instructions from any guru. Just overhelming fear of death caused dissolution of dual, deluded, daily awareness. And whole process took place in one evening, in quiet room, in yogic position savasana it mean dead man. Those details are contained in Ramana Maharishi biography. All best for all and everyone.

One cannot know what he achieved in previous lives and how many lives it took him; .. and how much he was prepaired to this single moment, and in what family he incarnated and how that helped him.; we all are longtime underway to enlightenment.. and there is no way to know when it will strike you or even if it is already there. ! in light there is no knower. it seems there is only light... all takes place in light.. enlightenment is only being aware you are not a person seperated from that light. life continues its way like before... there in no one left to reach anything.. all IS.

I can’t get passed 6:13 in caption. Abidance in pure being-awareness, transcending thought through love!!! WOW!!! Just exactly what I needed to hear, to give me the balance of attention and affection Nisargadatta Maharaj talks about. The Christian bible says, once and for all, casting all your care on Him, for He cares for you. In my words Face to face we transcend the world through Love. Thank you Samaneri!!

@@SamaneriJayasara Breath control? I find as absorption in meditation is occurring, I find my breath naturally pausing after I exhale. Is this what is meant? Not holding a big breath is it ? If I make myself hold my breath it is a forced thing, taking concentration. At this point.

  • @SamaneriJayasara

No Tony, it's definitely not about holding or controlling the breath but allowing it to be a more natural, aware process. The origins of these instructions were said to have been given to a group of Rishis who were obsessed and attached to concentration practices but who were not Liberated. Therefore, Shiva gave these instructions, some of which can seem a bit ambiguous. Breath control can definitely control the mind and lead to siddhis (powers) but the overall emphasis in this teaching is to go beyond all action/karma. It is not by action but by renunciation of action that one is liberated. So forcibly trying to do or attain anything (even control the breath) seems to runs counter to the overall spirit and principles of the teaching here. Just my thoughts. Once the mind is calm, the breath naturally subsides or disappears altogether so there is really no need to 'control' it. Better to practice self-enquiry as per Ramana's recommendation and let the breath take care of itself.
