Great Comp. Fairytale ending for Big Brian Shaw. Dad hat suits you sir. Tom fighting his way to third after zeroing on the first event was very good to see. Good Luck for your nuptials you will be missed at Cardiff.

Congrats on 2nd place finish bro! I had to think to myself that looking at the podium was like a passing of the torch from Brian, you will be great in this sport. Good luck to you, can't wait to follow along your journey.

Congratz! Awesome performance. And hey, if you're going to come in 2nd, I can't think of a better time to do so! What an honor it must have been to be there for his last show, his last event, and his very last step! Literally! So happy for you.

@@buddyyantz2446Brian only needed the second stair to win, at which point Mitch only needed 3 stairs to secure second and couldn't improve beyond that, so no reason to do 2 more stairs and risk injury for no reason

Awesome video as always Mitch. I said it on Loz's stream and I'll say it again here; you've now done a pro strongman rite of passage that is coming into a comp in absolute top shape and still coming second to Brian Shaw. Good luck at Rouge, hopefully we see you back on top of the podium #LHBK

what's your thoughts on 'hanging' for shoulder health mitch ? as we share the same joint as an ape but we don't use it as it was meant to be and hunch over.

You are obviously successful at your craft. Why did you decide to stop lifting 5 days out instead of 10 or 20? From what ive learned from Westside Barbell and Charlie Francis you maintain strength for 3 weeks then only lose very marginal strength the 4th week. Have you experimented with longer rest periods before competing?

  • @davideberhardt1361

I really wonder how much of your success comes from your knowledge and training principles vs natural physical gifts. More simply put, throw a meathead brain that only ego lifts in your head and compare the results. My unprofessional uneducated opinion is that your mind is by far your best attribute. Please keep up the teaching 👍
