Lyrics
I like it when
The flames slowly burn down the things I love the most
I like it when
The lights and sparks appear I’m playing with fire
Play
With
Fire
Total madness
When I take my photograph
Stare into the abyss
Burning down what built the past
The ash
The dust
Is how I feel
So can you bury me,
Bury me?
That’s how it ends
Behold the pale horse
Carrying the burned corpse
Into the church of Satan
It was the same force
That made me turn course
And die on the cross of the martyr
Cross of the martyr
Cross of the martyr
Cross of the martyr
Total madness
When I take my photograph
Stare into the abyss
Burning down what built the past
The ash
The dust
Is how I feel
So can you bury me,
Bury me?
That’s how it ends
Can you bury me?
Can you bury me?
Total madness
When I take my photograph
Stare into the abyss
Burning down what built the past
The ash
The dust
Is how I feel
So can you bury me,
Bury me?
So can you bury me,
Bury me?
That’s how it ends

The crazy thing really is that Christoph is just as good as Manu, at least regarding technical skill. It's admirable how he happily gives the rest of the gang the space to shine while casually ripping through all their songs (even live). Truly a god in his own right. 🙏🏻

@@kapitaenkantine Scottie is very similar in Polyphia. He's every bit as good as Tim, though certainly more self-taught (e.g. Tim was taught how to thump "properly" by Tosin but Scottie just straight up figured out how to get an identical sound with a different technique on his own). He doesn't seem to mind frequently being the "rhythm" guitarist playing down an octave or pausing when Tim does a really tasty run in a riff (e.g. GOAT) to make sure that it doesn't muddy the sound. He doesn't seem to mind generally letting Tim be the "face" of the band even though the actual songwriting, by their own admission, is fairly close to 50/50. One writes a hook or a verse, and they keep sending it back and forth to "fuck it up" until they have a deadline. Tim definitely has a better sensibility for writing hooks and Scottie for solos, but they both write incredible verses and harmonies. They just released a live show from Deep Ellum, and the production on it is pretty good. You can clearly hear Scottie panned left and Tim panned right, and good lord they're both tighter than tight live (along with the Clays, who are totally bulletproof). One of the best ways to actually hear the two of them playing together and how well they mesh.

Nothing special dude. Unprocessed instrumentally went harder within the first 3mins or so. The problem with Polyphia is there is no lyrics, yet instrumentally were topped with this one, let alone the whole album of Unprocessed. Edit: Just re listened, nothing special at all, even generic, copy paste. New to metalcore / deathcore? / All the genres sprouted from hardcore / post? All been done before dude, incredibly generic, especially with the fuckin whammy. Veil of maya, breakdown of sanity, now and on earth, bullet, betraying the martyrs. All similar sounding and done years ago. Solos, let alone tapping / plucking / picking. I mean it's just fast movement, with fuck all substance in the way of ears. And cosidering the effort required within 30secs. Not worth the pay off. Glad you like it though, my ears, are more refined. Boring in otherwords, same shit, past 20years, which would be lovely, however fuck all substance. Last 40secs or so of this song may as well cease to exist. " Let alone when that Henson dickhead plays. Hes another overrated guitarist in a platform full of them / socials. Nik, Dines, that other dickhead like dines, BMTH (EDM drowns out substance, fuck all instrumentally) , Northlane (EDM drowns out instruments, shill band) List goes on. He hasn't shown the true extent at all, otherwise I wouldn't be ripping him a new ass. Super generic dude. Check out Vildjharta, old school "Invent Animate", After the burial, Reflections. Plenty other better talents man, sound, and playing ability.

I do not obey satan, nor do I think they do. but I for sure am not pro-religion. I relate a lot to the lyrics of the album (although I must quote Manuel on what he said about that most of the lyrics is not written by him). I do dislike the merch, it's too satanic to my liking. they kinda overdone that if you ask me. don't take the lyrics and the art too serious though

Yeah this was super odd to see from them. The Satanic imagery and lyricism is kind of lame (to say the least).

i dont understand the "outshine" factor everyone talks about. every individual part of the song is absolutely mind blowing. i cant put one above the other because theyre insanely good in their own paths and i think thats how it should be.

Humans just naturally like to compare things but you're one of the few who do get that it's a team effort. Keep that mindset and you'll find yourself able to appreciate so many artists and various genres for their own merits. Cheers!
