Good morning Dr Marbas. I've just watched the latest Chelsea Mae's video, and she was talking about mindset too, I hope you get the chance to watch it. All the suggestions you are making in your video are very valid, but in my experience all these good intentions are quickly forgotten when you are hungry and get cravings that control you and your behaviour. The only thing that really helped me get slim and stay slim for 4+ years after decades of bingeing and yo-yo dieting was having my belly full of delicious, filling, nutritious food. Once I learnt to satisfy my hunger with low calorie-density, generous portions of whole plant food, that was all I needed to stick to my healthy weight loss plan. Everything else - remembering your whys, keeping journals, planning what to eat, keeping track of your weight, etc. - are all great, but if you are hungry or if the food you eat does not make you happy and satisfied, you will not stay the course.

Another thing that will really help a healthy mindset and that should go without saying is: Do not keep ultra-processed/junk food around you, whether it's in the house/car/place of work, etc. Stop buying the stuff or ordering it in, because you know that when it's around you all your good mindset will go out of the window. We really need to focus on the environment first as that will help control the mindset.

I really appreciate this video. It Was helpful to be reminded to look at the data objectively without negative feedback I tend to create instead of just using this feedback to be informed in order to better self regulate to reach my goals. Thank you!
