Unknown TIBETAN BUDDHIST Town in Western Sichuan, China | S2, EP48

In this video, I am heading to western Sichuan, close to the Tibetan border to Garze Tibetan Prefecture. It is quite high in altitude (almost 4000m) and not very touristy. It's a very remote and religious place. By coincidence I jumped into a wedding celebration, and was warmly welcomed.
Later, we also visited a Buddhist Academy.
Join me on this adventure in the Tibetan Highlands :)

Love from Bhutan 🇧🇹. Tibet and Bhutan are related culturally, traditional and linguistically. There is so much history between Bhutan and Tibet. We consider Tibetan as our brothers and sisters. Hope one day the relationship with china normalises and we can visit Tibet.

@kenkarko5432 Yes its true, Bhutan govt is trying to balance between China and India. Thats the disadvantage of being a small independent nation between two gaints. Bhutan will normalise the relation once the border demarcation with china concludes. Bhutan has been fortunate to have splendid and strong relation with India but time has come for Bhutan to nromalise the relation with China without fracturing old relation with India. Bhutan values both India and china.

I want to thank you again. Over the past year, your videos have helped me not only to look at China, but also to see once again what it means to live. That life is not about chasing money, that you don't have to keep running and proving something to someone. You can really enjoy life and travel like you do! Or you can live in a small village with monks and ... and be happy. I put it on my list of things to do before I die, to meet you in real life and thank you. A huge hello from Berlin!

*These words are not mine.* These are the words the Ruach HaKodesh (YAHUAH's Set-Apart Spirit) uttered through me when I prayed to YAHUAH; asking him what *he wants* me to say, knowing the truth. "Know that YAHUAH is the name of the Most High and YAHUsha is the name of The Son. Come out of her, my people, who have fallen into her deceit. Who know not my name and say they love me. I have made myself known. I have heard you and I am here. There are many who are yours to be saved. I am he who knows all that you are. Come to me, here are they who are mine. Make haste to come, here are we. Give in to them who speak of me, they are yours. I am here for you. Know that all is for them, here are we. Give not to them that are against me. I am he who sees all you do. Come to me out of her, all are here for me. Do what I say. Out of her, come. All are here." Exodus 3:13-15 KJV 13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? 14 And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you. 15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, the Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations. John 5:43 KJV 43 *I am come in my Father's name,* and ye receive me not: *if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.* 2 Corinthians 6:17 KJV 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and *touch not the unclean thing;* *and I will receive you.* Isaiah 52:6-7 KJV 6 Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I. 7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! 2 Corinthians 6:1-2 KJV 1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain. 2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) Romans 10:1-3 KJV 1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. 2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. 3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. Romans 10:13-17 KJV 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14 *How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?* 15 *And how shall they preach, except they be sent?* as it is written, *How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!* 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. *For Esaias saith,* Lord, *who hath believed our report?* 17 *So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.* Nahum 1:7 KJV 7 The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and *he knoweth them that trust in him.* Hebrews 3:15 KJV 15 *While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.* Isaiah 52:11 KJV 11 *Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing;* go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the Lord. John 14:15 KJV 15 *If ye love me, keep my commandments.*

Thats what the westerners want to see. No running water, no electricity and no basic infrastructure in Tibet and tibetans’ lives must be primitive ,which would match the “holly Tibet” in their brainwashed mind.

No one likes to be primitive all the time, and people also want to live in high-rise buildings and go to churches to worship like in Europe and the United States. Only Westerners feel that respecting religion is equivalent to allowing those people to retain the old primitive life.

Another fantastic episode! I wish I could go there. About wedding I’d like to share my observations. I noticed a lot of non-Tibetan Chinese weddings are like this. It is common that a guest bring his/her friends who were not invited (i.e. strangers to the host). Chinese wedding are not planned the same way as weddings in western countries. In western weddings the tables and food are planned and arranged down to each individual. Chinese weddings (especially in rural or small towns) are usually a big happy celebration. The more people come the merrier.

Only in rural areas. In the cities, the guests almost always have invitations, as the total number of expected guests are needed for reservations and arrangements with the venue where the banquets are hosted. In the rural area, the venue is their own property do they can afford to have a liushuixi, meaning people come and go like stream of water. The same applies to the funeral banquets in the rural areas.

I followed the traveler agent to the remote Yunnan Province to visit the scenic spots and the villagers two years before Covid. Though they were happy and enjoyed a better life but their families were not as good as the Tibetans enjoyed with huge houses and cleaned places. I think the government is giving more privileges to the Tibetan and the Uyghur peoples with better facilities.

Yes, the Chinese government has special care for ethnic minorities, from school life to work. There is a Hui (Muslim) subsidy on my salary slip, but I am not a Hui, so I left this column blank.

Kids cry louder get more milk in China. Tibet population is only about 3.5 million. The tax collection was less than 18 billion RMB (or about US$ 2.6 billion) in 2022. But central government gave Tibet 250 billion RMB (about US$35.7 billion, or about US$10,000 per capita) in the same year. Most of the funding goes to the infrastructure projects, improving living standards, education....on the area.

Went there in 2014 and it was one of the rougher trips of my life. I'm a very experienced traveler, but the altitude combined with the tense political situation (this was the time of the Tibetan immolations) made it a very harrowing experience. Beautiful though, in many ways! Certainly won't forget it.
