Tibetan Monk: A Day in the Life of a Tibetan Buddhist Monk

What is the daily life of a Tibetan monk? This is one of the most intriguing aspects when we talk about the Tibetan plateau. Learn more at www.tibettravel.org/
In this video, let’s have a glimpse of how a monk’s daily life is like in Tibet, which is shown as we followed a head monk, who lives in the Jhoden monastery, about three hours driving east of Lhasa.
He leads a fairly peaceful and simple life. His daily schedule consists of morning Buddha offering, meditation, praying for the peace and harvest of the villages around his monastery, and night chanting.
You may find they are living a simple and happy life, but it’s not easy. They need to keep pursuing their Buddhist study and praying for the blessings of the Goddess of Mercy.
From the early morning to the late-night, see how he will enjoy the day. We hope you will enjoy the video and let us know what you think below.
( Besides, I think you may be interested in the follow-up video about our monk's daily life, you can watch here: • The Daily Life of a Mo... )

@Julie's Heart Healed By Jesus Sometimes I think Buddhism is everything that God is, they just don't have The Creator God at the top. The Biblical God always loves precious stones and incense on His Altar. The Buddha, though a Prince was still born into sin but He questioned very deeply about why life needs to suffer and He worked to conquer all the ailments. Jesus Christ was/is the only human born pure and without sin and this is the importance of the symbol of The Cross. All the purity in human nature sacrificed. The world is a tragic place, it so is. The Buddha did conquer tempting demons who came from the hells. The Christian Bible states that The devil walks to and fro across The Earth, hell is not yet made. Hell will be made after Christ's second coming and then all the demons will be locked in it for 1000 years and God then needs to unlock it with His key once more.

Communities are generally happy when some of their members train in these skills and perform them on request or in selected periods. It creates psycological well-being and togetherness. Perhaps you think prayer/meditation is worthless -- and effortless. Try it ...you will find your mind off the cliff in one minute... not to mention 3 hours!

Amazing! This is the most difficult life one leads. To the untrained eye, it might seem it's easy, but the very point of living such a monastic life is to be meditative throughout. Whatever he did from the beginning till the very end, he was completely conscious and aware...being busy every moment, but with intent. This is what meditation is all about. A state of being meditative. Simple life, small tasks, being meditative. Then one might think of living a career oriented life, with the same meditativeness.

So this video was recommended for me and when I began it to watch my eyes filled up with tears. This life is just so simple and it doesn't need something to be lucky or not. It needs just living. Seeing the life that the monk lives is so beautiful. Ideally living in that simplicity is all I want in life. Its very difficult to have that in the states. So much hate here for nothing. Everyone hates something or someone. That is why when it was explained in the video that the woman was praying for every living being I started crying because that was truly beautiful. I really needed to see people like that. There needs to be more of this in the world. This is so much more fulfilling and beautiful. I was suggested this video after studying the Heart Sutra Mantra. Ty to the monks, ty Tibet Travel for presenting us this video, and everyone else who is on the wave length of peace and simplicity. I will follow that woman's example and pray for all living things.

The habits of a Tibetan Monk have materialized in my life and in my middle age I discovered that Life is about being Happy not pursuing frivolous goals. My name was Tang Chi Lin, and I was born in Oiang, China. I died by falling off a mountain, a very high mountain.

Only monks in Theravada tradition keep the Buddha's way of life and his original rules. According to this film. Monk strictly forbidden to cook and grow food. And many other things normal for Tibetans monk. And in Theravada they can possess only 7 thing, which they can carry in one small bag. That's simple life. Thanks for you attention and patience.

God provides freely and gives all we need. With the living God there is no need to idolize any manmade object and walk in the whole spirit of God's moral laws for Love to prevail for all living things, environment, animals, plants, nature and people. We all have a life course and choice, peace, love and happiness is great sucess. Do no harm, do not exploit others, life is beautiful. @youtube watcher i can go in evry video to tell to truth. I do not force and can not even make nobody believe nothing. But tell the truth it is on evry body if they will accept or not. Tommorow when judgment come no one cant said i never hear about this! Thats why i here i do not mind if 0 people in the coment or video accept wat i tell. Is not me they rejec but the word of GOD. do you know that to came here and tell the turth is a work for GOD its part to convict people and come to him because time is still running je will soon return

Very similar to the Tibetan nunnery I stayed at in India with my teacher. I've actually been avoiding watching this video because I miss it so much there but seeing it warmed my heart, actually. May the Tibetan people who are still in Tibet be blessed and protected. The Tibetan people have such a natural ease and hospitality. I can't wait to go back to the nunnery after COVID to learn more. Best wishes from Maine in the northeast of the U.S. 🙏

This people must know about the true GOD also because they also worship nature and other things. But soon is the end we need to know this os not a secret. we must pray and love the true GOD above all pray to himm so we can show us the truth

This is an amazing video. It takes a lot of effort to produce it but I've gained so much new insights. The area is beautiful, I had no idea there were places in Tibet that are so green. And it was interesting to see the Monk interacting with the local villagers. Tibet has an amazing culture. Thanks for sharing
