Okaaaay STOP everything. Cancel all my knitting plans. You had me at collar. I am 100% diving head first down that search rabbit hole. 🔍 The summer/fall transition is challenging for us in YYC too. Freezing in the a.m. roasting by 3PM. Thank you Emily for your channel. I really appreciate your sharp eye for curating knitting patterns!
Thanks for the recommendations Emily! I’m such a slow knitter that if I started now, I *may* have one done by next fall 😂.
I love these kinds of videos, even if you never end up knitting any of them! It's so lovely to see different patterns, and you have really good insights on how you'd work them into your wardrobe that I'd never think of!
Love your recommendations! You always introduce me to patterns I haven’t seen before.
Totally enjoy your pattern options-designers and designs that are new to me. Thanks for all your reviews
For sure do more of these! Great episode
I so appreciate your thorough research and thoughtful presentation and comments! As always, a pleasure to watch you and gather inspiration.
I really like this type of video! Thank you for putting this together.
Love this type of video - thank you!
Appreciate your observations. So informative. Love your hair Enjoy your fall.
Great ideas! Beautiful hair!
Ah! I'm knitting the Growing cardigan right now. I got so excited because I haven't heard/seen it on any other podcasts/instagram which seems crazy because this pattern and Lone's other patterns are really cool and a lot of interesting textures and construction. I just finished knitting the Kreiners coat by the same designer this Spring - it was a labor of love knitting a long cardigan with all over cables in rib, but so worth the FO.
I love these kinds of videos. Because it gives me inspiration to how I want to design my knittings.
Just found your podcast and I appreciated your pattern recommendations! Love these kinds of inspirations and undiscovered patterns!
I've been eyeing the terrazzo neck or the terrazzo vest - both are fab! I really love the idea of making fall jackets more winter ready with the neck pullover accessories.
I love knitting shawls and scarves for the same reason you mentioned cowls: they are so easy to layer!
I made my moonset pullover in a mostly alpaca & a little bit of cotton mix & it’s sooo nice for the fall, I just love ozettas patterns
Love this! I just finished my Moon Set Tee last week in time to bring it on a trip, and I've loved it 🥰
Happy I found you! Another Canadian vlog for me to love on. Your theme and the patterns were great recommendations and unique in the vlog world. Thanks from St. Thomas!
I love these kinds of videos! I am mostly looking for inspiration and a way to keep up with knitting trends, and even if I might not make any of these (or I might, who knows?) it's just fun to look around. As you said, knitting is slow - it wouldn't be fun to only look at patterns we actually want to make.
Love these videos!!
Lovely ideas, thank you
love it!
Love this kind of video, and your choices. Keep them coming. I recommend bamboo as a warm fiber. The fibers are hollow in the centre, and still air equals warmth. Lastly, I love holey mohair sweaters as a transitional piece. Great layering piece that doesn't take up a lot of space, gives a surprising amount of warmth but hardly ever too much. I used mine even in summer.
Ooh nice! I knit and modded the Maude tee pretty easily! It's def got a relaxed vibe and love the version with stripes 😊
Well, videos like this gives me a lot if ideas and inspiration so, yes I love videos like this even though you will not personally knit all of those garments. I definitely saw one or two garment that I would like to knit... and have put in favorite on my ravelry page. So thank you for this content, love it🙂
Love your channel, love your knits and style and really appreciate videos like this. I sit and knit and this gives me all the inspiration without the effort 🤭🤣 thanks for sharing and your cumulus is gorgeous 🥰
Great ideas. I think you have a brilliant idea. They could be a bit earlier because it takes time to knit. Thanks for sharing some patterns I haven’t considered. I would like several of your choices. Vests which you touched on are a super transition piece.
These are great suggestions; I'd do all of them with one a little out of my comfort zone. A pattern I love making is Susie Rogers' Reading Mitts. I use KnitPicks' City Tweed HW/Aran for wonderful warmth. I've gifted many a pair and have to replace my own because they were stolen! Luckily, they're quick to knit up. Thank you for this review. I'm on the same wavelength. ❤️
Love getting pattern ideas whether or not someone's knitting them! It's nice to see some I haven't seen on the 'Gram yet either
Very interesting since I live in Texas and it’s hot most of the year
love your hair like this😃
A transitional season project that is on my mind is a fingering weight wool sweater :) I thrifted one recently that I've been living in during the cool morning -> bright warm afternoon autumn days! Only thing is that's a massive undertaking and there are already so many other things I want to knit....

I love your knitting and I would love a pattern for chunky cowl neck

Welcome! I’m so glad you enjoyed 😃
Titicaca is a lace weight mohair blend. Holst Garn are a great line of yarns that are reasonably priced.
I love my terazzo neck, made it last autumn 🍂 it’s funny it’s on this list cus it’s the only petitknit i ever made haha
I can also really recommend the Unarmoured Defence cowl by Katt Weaver (Heather and Hops). Its a nice collar in broken rib stitch knit with DK weight.
I enjoyed this episode. I consider this type as inclusive. Because if you only talk above your knitting, well, sometimes those are of no interest to me. You have a really good take on this group of patterns, offering the type of information I really enjoy.g
I really like this type of video. I am not a very stylish or fashionable person, but really like seeing the different designs and ideas. I don't know I could pull any of them off. Selfishly, any chance you'd talk about designs that (even if you wouldn't actually knit them) would work well for your partner?
The Terrazzo neck is such a good pattern! I knit it for my sister for Christmas last year, and it looked so cozy I had to knit one for myself straight away. But there was a lot of great inspiration in this video. I am considering the Moon Set Tee as its adorable and I have four balls of Pure Silk in a neutral colour I haven't found a use for yet. I think it would be a perfect colour for the pattern. But I have also been thinking about knitting the Maud Tee in this yarn, just getting another thinner yarn to knit it with, so I am undecided.

Ouuuuuu I wonder if a lace weight alpaca strand would pair nicely with the silk for a bit of warmth and fuzz?!

@@highfiberknits I’ve been wanting to try out knitting a project with one strand of lace weight alpaca held with another yarn, but I haven’t come around to it. How is it compared to knitting with mohair? I am not really wanting the fuzzy look of the mohair silk with the Maud tee, but a lace alpaca seems like it might give softness without the extreme fuzz. I am currently knitting the Sophie Scarf in three threads of Alva from Filcolana because I wanted to test it out and it’s so so soft so I can imagine that being great combined with Pure Silk.
I just started watching your challenge (which is great btw :) ) and you don't have curly/natural hair in most of the videos I've watched so far but I just wanted to say wow it is so pretty!!

Just found you and loved this video. You mentioned Knits n Gigs for striped version of Maude Tee. Do you know if there is a pattern for it. I love that nautical look! I don't see that version pictured or mentioned on Ravelry. I'm a new-ish knitter so not yet up to making modifications to patterns.

All of the patterns are linked in a ravelry bundle in the description :)
while i've been knitting for years, i'm actually new to knitting clothing. so i don't know most of the designers you mention. Would it be possible to put a link to the pattern or the designer's web presence in the description under your videos?
@highfiberknits

Hi Camille! One of the links in the description will take you to Ravelry. If you have never used it before, Ravelry is like a database of knitting patterns, and the link will take you to a “bundle” of patterns from this video!
Can anyone find the pattern for the jumper at 12:43? It's so pretty, I think its my fave of the video ☺

It’s the Maude tee by petite knit, but it’s heavily modified; you can find her on Instagram as @knitsngiggs
The thing about picking out patterns for the season is you need to knit it a month before. So right now - you are knitting for Nov...Brrrr. 8-)

Haha so true! I had the inspiration for the video and went with it as soon as possible. What I love about some of these patterns is that they could be great for spring too! Or even winter depending on layers and covers!
Where can I find all these pattern? Especially for the 12:40 one

Those collars used to be called “Dickies”. Doesn’t sound as appealing 😅
I don't mean to be rude but why is there this hype for petite knits?! There's so so many designers but she's always mentioned she must be a millionaire by now! 😂

I hear you! We could probably write an essay (or at least a really long Instagram caption on why this may be) 😂 that’s why, in addition to petite knit, I wanted to talk about other designers in videos of this format too 😁
