Love all your plans! My Louvre sweater is palette held double, and there has been some pulling, but not notably more or less than most other sweaters. Tbh my KfO merino and soft silk mohair has pilled more for less wear.

I did a Norwegian style yoked jumper last year and I love it. It's a medium green on the body and I used black, grey, and white on the yoke and cuffs which worked really well to avoid being super colourful. Also Wool Needles Hands is doing the stripe hype sweater if you want some more info on how it's knitting up and what construction is like 😊

Mandy this video was SO good! I love how you explained everything and your inspiration is great. Plus, I always have a soft spot for a fellow Swiftie. Happy knitting!

I'm not sure what your yarn stash is like, but when I made my Stripe Hype, I laid all my single skeins of dk and fingering out together, and picked the colors which I thought resonated best together. Might be worth a shot, to see if any color combos inspire you :) It was a fun knit

I want to make the mamba sweater without mohair too. Kinda struggling with the yarn substitution because the isager yarn seems so specialized hoping to see what some other people do

I have two projects on my needles. I jump back and forth between them because one is size 4 (alpine bloom) and the other size 8 (Rift). I have a cardigan on my short list to knit. Kallias by Isabell Kramer. I purchased a large quantity of Woolstok to knit an Ihya sweater. I am having second thoughts. I live in coastal NC where our winters are mostly mild and my wooly knits don’t get much love. Reassigning that yarn to a cardigan worn like a jacket may be a better choice.

I've used Palette and Cascade 220 and they're pretty similar. If anything, Palette is a tad softer and maybe a little more even. It feels slightly rounder/thicker than cascade 220. I haven't finished anything in it, so I can't say how it holds up but I do really like it.

Love your pattern picks! I really want to knit the Lumme and have that classic colorwork too. I’m currently knitting the pressed flowers cardigan and I definitely recommend it!

I feel you on needing/wanting to knit more difficult or engaging knits. My list consists of the storm sweater and the Artisane Cardigan by Sandnes garn!!! It’s going to take me ages but it’s going to be a staple forever. Of course I have a million others I want to knit, I love your dedication to making and understanding what you make and how it fits into your wardrobe. I strive to be a percentage of this. Can’t wait for your next vid❤

Love your Fall plans! I seem to be in my cardigan era: currently knitting the scallop jacket by strikkekaffe. I want to make at least one other cardigan, probably the travelers jacket. And then the Agnete has been on my mind for a while now….

I am currently knitting the Lumme pullover, I am using bright red for the main color and white for the contrast. It’s super easy to follow and knits up super fast!

I've made a few sweaters with Knitpicks palette (I bought a bunch of it when I first started knitting because it''s inexpensive). I enjoyed working with it - I think it's pleasantly wooly without being too scratchy, but I really don't like how my sweaters have held up. I find that palette pills after only a couple of wears, but because it's still a sticky yarn it's really hard pick the pills off, unlike a soft merino that might pill significantly. So I find that these sweaters just don't look very nice and I tend not to reach for them much. My gauge on these sweaters is around 26 st/4 in on these sweaters (held single), so not a super loose gauge either where you might expect the fabric to be less sturdy. Hope this was helpful. Also, the Paul Klee sweater is knit at a loose gauge for fingering weight yarn (22 st/4 in), so the yardage is actually not very high for a fingering weight sweater. The pattern says it also works with a thicker yarn at the same gauge, so you might want to give it a try!

Personally I love pallete and am about to buy more. But can’t speak to wear bc, I made sweaters using it at the end of last spring so they didn’t get much wear. I did a loose gauge (vanilla sweater from the wooly thistle) and the same sweater I made up in a tight gauge by knitting a different size, now making my second Ranunculus using it. The heathers are pretty. It’s 2 ply, price is right plus no winding. BTW I’ve heard people say EE-say-ER for Isager.

I knit the pressed flower cardigan this summer. I love it. I would suggest the cardigan because I found the pattern easier to knit flat than in the round (sleeves). The pullover would be all in the round. I think it’s a heavier weight too. I used Wool of the Andes and Noro so it was much cheaper than the spin cycle versions.

I prefer non-super wash for cabled sweaters. In my opinion the cables block open and maintain that open structure better with a Woolley wool than with a super wash where the treatment is designed for the wool to slid around more.

Yes, definitely seemed way to slippery for a cabled sweater!

Best advice I’ve gotten is to crochet pieces together for seamed pieces. It’s waaaay less annoying and I find it much cleaner!
