These sweaters fit so well with the characters (Sookie’s in particular rings very true to me)! I feel like I could totally see Jess wearing that second sweater you picked for Logan. Reads as a kind of “dressed up” version of those semi-fitted thermal shirts that he wears a lot.

Love Gilmore girls, currently rewatching. I’m not sure what id knit for them but that’s fun to think about. I love Rory, Lorelei and luke in the show! Rory and Logan all the way 🎉

Ooh okay this is everything and I loved this! GG is my ULTIMATE favorite show. I was watching an episode of The Sopranos and GG was on the tv in the background and I knew immediately the episode BECAUSE OF RORYS SWEATER!!! Picking favorite episodes is so hard for me because I love it so much. It’s like picking a favorite child 😂

This was a fun watch. I just put out a GG knits video and I’m laughing at how many things you say here that I also thought! I’d wondered if it had been too long since I watched the series to give fan theory or wardrobe analysis that’s accurate but I guess it wasn’t. After compiling my thoughts I went looking for GG knitting or fan rants to see what others think (idk if yours was out yet … these photo heavy episodes take so long to make) and I also saw Kendra’s videos and loved them. I think she’s the only person online who thinks Lorelei’s house is a possibility, lol. That cardigan by Blue Squirrel Yoom! Wow! I can’t see Emily wearing anything that interesting but I want that in my life. I like that you included the guys in your video. And I love that you mentioned Stitch n Bitch bc you are totally right! It was the era! I learned to knit from that book and I still want to make some more knits from it- for the nostalgia factor if nothing else. Okay I’m gonna finish watching now, lol.

i'm currently on my 8th rewatch of gilmore girls (yes, i have a problem) so this video is pure perfection!! some of my favourite episodes have to be s2e10 (the bracebridge dinner) and s5e10 (wedding bell blues). part of the reason im so excited to knit the moby sweater this winter is to have a sweater that reminds me of the one rory wears in the pilot haha

This was awesome! I had to take a break in the middle and watch some Gilmore Girls lol. Also on the topic of quiet luxury I think hand knitting is the height of quiet luxury. We spend so much time and money hand knitting clothing and no one would know it if we didn’t tell everyone we saw. 😂

It is hosted by Scott Patterson, who was Luke. Amy, who is one of the 4 hosts, is really into Lorelai's fashions. The podcast is great fun to listen to.

@@knitsbymandy that one sounds good, too. As a knitter, you might want to check out Penny Straker's patterns, they are older, but beautiful. They may be hard to find, but Ravelry might be a good source.

I realize it's not a sweater but I would knit Luke fingerless mitts in some rustic yarn.
