Glad to see you back. A note on superwash.. It's better consumption than fast fashion! We need more people doing better than getting frustrated they aren't perfect. I think if you can enjoy non-superwash, that's great.. But don't let others make you feel like all you can do is throw your hands up and say "no ethical consumption" because while true, you are doing better probably on average than most Americans. All the little steps matter!

PS. Congratulations on caring and making little steps. Making your own clothes from mostly natural fiber is a huge win and I hope you can enjoy that.

Im so glad you are back! I am also so happy to see Barbiecore everywhere, being that I’m a happy color fan. I was always trying to find Barbie pink in stores and I hated that all I could find was millennial pink. Don’t feel bad about your super wash yarn! While it’s great that we can all learn to make better choices for the environment, putting the onus on the little people is ridiculous. Instead of DMing a small content creator who enjoys producing long lasting garments herself, they should be focusing their energy on large corporations that do ACTUAL damage like a shein, Coca-Cola, nestle, etc. Even if every knitter around the world stopped using super wash, we wouldn’t even make a dent in the amount of pollution of these companies make. Enjoy your super wash and block the haters. If you still feel guilty, you can always net zero your impact. Ride the bus for a week instead of driving to work, donate to reforestation every time you buy sw yarn, etc.❤

I literally once stood in a yarn shop with an employee trying to pick yarn for a project, wearing a blue shirt and leggings with blue in the pattern, and said “I’m not really a blue person” 🤦🏽‍♀️

So Aro, I just discovered your channel with this video and I have a few thoughts: 1. I love your core values that you display such as supportive of other women, environmentally thoughtful, and keeping true to yourself. That last one took me a lot of years to figure out. 2. Your sense of colours and how they work together is impeccable! Not only are they gorgeous, but they are gorgeous against your skin tone. 3. Your knitting is beautiful! Your stitch definition is on point and I love the way you owned up to a small misstep, but realized that you were the ONLY person (well, I should include the designer as well in that group) to ever notice anything without it being pointed out. Don’t be so hard on yourself! Until you sprout angel wings, you are firmly human, and we tend to make soooooooo many mistakes! I am clearly old enough to be your mother, but I learned a lot just watching this one podcast. I am looking forward to seeing those gorgeous fibers hit the needles and then see the finished garment! You mentioned that you have been going through it - I’m sorry to hear that - but you seem to be finding your feet again, as I thought you were delightful; I giggled more than once at things you said. 😁

My first thought is that you look happy and that you seem to be at peace. I am glad to also hear you say that you are busy with life but find time to knit even though it is not as much. It just means that you have other things that make you happy as well. And yes, I watched the whole video TWICE already!

I really enjoyed watching your episode and I loved seeing all the Ozetta patterns that I have saved in my Ravelry favorites knit up by you! Your Lakes Tee looks amazing, I love the color and it was good to hear your comment about liking the Knitting for Olive Merino cotton merino. I've only knit with their mohair which is so nice, but I'm definitely going to try the cotton merino! I just finished Ozetta's Field Day Jacket recently and I also loved the construction and how she keeps things interesting! Anyway, thanks always for your awesome podcast! It always cheers me up!

I love listening to you talk about knitting. Watching your videos has really made me feel like knitting garments is accessible and not super scary. I have branched out from hats and mitts and scarves and am currently in the middle of making my first shirt-shaped thing :D (it's constructed of two rectangles, so it's probably a cousin to a poncho, but still)
