I have known for a long time that I was a sugar addict. I would do without sugar for months at a time and then go someplace and eat something sweet that was absolutely delicious and I would just go right back into the addiction. 4 years ago I decided that I was going to cut back to 10 g of added sugar a day. In a few months later I just said enough of this I'm going to quit sugar cuz I cannot handle it. It took 2 years but I lost 20 lb. Then in October of 2023 I listen to Chuck Carroll the physicians podcast and they were talking about plant-based that's it. I'm in all in or nothing person so that day I eliminated meat fish poultry dare. I have lost an additional 8 lb I am 79 years old and so I know it can be done. I find all your videos so helpful as weight loss/maintenance is my favourite topic. I went for a longish walk yesterday and felt great. The weather's so cold in London, we've had bad weather since last September (still wearing winter clothes!) so I'm trying to motivate myself to go out whenever there's a bit of sunshine. I always watch your videos while having my big bowl of fruit for breakfast. I have been WFPB for over 4 years, I am so happy with my weight and body now, and I enjoy wearing nice clothes and really showing my identity and personality rather than hiding under hideous baggy clothes. I am 58 and feel younger than I did in my 30s and 40s and early 50s, it's really been a blessing to discover the WFPB community during lockdown. Thank you Dr Marbas, I also enjoy reading other viewers' comments

It was interesting to listen to you however I really did not hear anything new or anything I would call a breakthrough it just common knowledge, I was hoping to hear something beneficial and a good new strategy. Sure. Sometimes what’s not new for you is new for others. I try to remember as a physician I know a lot of things that my patients do not know. It’s like learning a new language you have to learn the basics to build upon. Appreciate your feedback.
