I bought two of them . I live 100 yards from a major route. They work beautifully. They will also talk to each other bout 3 miles apart. Get a regular antenna adapter and hooked it up to my wilson 1000 in my truck got about 8 miles out of them.

Timothy Fields I googled online that they only get around 400 yards? Damn I was getting all static when I tried using mine out of the box on the highway. Then again I did have windows closed but still. I was hoping to be able to use it without extra money but I guess I will have to buy a magnetic antenna.

Aidan D yup, windows make no difference. You need a good mag mount antenna and tune your SWRs.

I bought this radio a month ago, and I like it works really well. You need to throw that rubber antenna away because it is garbage, you will never hear anybody with it unless you are on top of them. I hooked mine up to a LIL Will Antenna, and I get out between 3-5 miles depending on the day. I think it will perform better with a better Antenna. I do love the radio, and I hope that you enjoy yours.

dstenske Are the connectors the same? Or is there an attachment to make them compatible? Because the radio antenna is very small

bboylilrob you need a BNX connector the antenna will screw right into it.

Keep the whip but definitely get an aftermarket one. The HYS 16 inch flex whip works great with this radio. good range.

I brought this P.O.S. CB radio & I’m returning it... alteast his had power when you plugged it in ... mine didn’t have any power til I put batteries in it

I honestly use it when I travel in my Denali pulling my camping trailer so very rare. And I didn't wanna cable my Denali fir an actual CV.

I like this walkie just like i do with anything radio. The only thing i dont like about it is the sound that come through speaker is tinny. The noise floor is sharp. I have a midland 75-785 walkie that the floor level noise is soft and the activity on the radio isnt sharp. I did watch that lady's video before this video. You cant rely on cb for help anymore. Get a couple of these walkies for like when you go on hikes. Its wavelength is able to go through rough terrain better than an frs walkie wavelength.

Indeed. I love the 75-785 it was my first back in 2011. The new flexible 16 inch whips that HYS makes for these are great and improves the range.

I had just gotten one. Mine works well here in Indiana. BNC adapter to my Magnent Wislon 5000.

Hey buddy I’m trying to be helpful here on your channel. Your video was horrible. The audio and the video was real bad I would step outside and try this again. Also if you can get down close to a truck stop maybe are a mile or two away from the truck stop and try that again that would make for a much better video and if you have a second person that could film is your driveway and your mileage check on that same I’ll truckstop I think that would be a much better video and out of the 600 people that I’ve watched it you would’ve got more than three thumbs up in three thumbs down. I hope this helps.

Just trying to get some light on this product. But that's great advice, im sure someone looking to increase their like count could use that info.
