Hey buttermilk you should hook up your exterior antenna to that thing it will perform real good then

Mines not been bad, picks up right bout a mile depending on receiver's power. All round good cb for the money.

I'm a heavy haul driver. I have a great cb in my rig. But sometimes I have a hard time communicating with my pilot cars. They have these and I just got myself one. They work great and yes you can use it as a walkie talkie. It's pretty much one anyways

Get telescopic whip. With the 52 inch HYS I go for 7 miles easily between handhelds. Especially if you have one that does FM like president randy.

At night with perfect conditions and a seperate antenna 20 miles. But about 1 mile during the day on the road

7 miles when you put the HYS 52 inch telescopic on it. Love that antenna.
