Yes, they are setup as two different locks in the app.

Hey! I was wondering how good is the Bluetooth unlock system. How far can you be for it to unlock?

My home is about 20 yards away and it worked fine. So not really sure the max range.

will it cover all deadbolt holes? do you have to sign in or use a code to use fingerprint?

Hello Lyle, no it does not cover the deadbolt hole. It really only replaces the main door knob hole. But this company does have solutions for covering both holes or even smart deadbolts and knobs so check out their site to see if one of those would fit what you'd like to have.

Here's my feedback after owning one for a year: The Ultraloq phone app has been replaced by the "U-tech" app, and the knock feature has been replaced by a wave gesture, but you have to have to keep the app live in the background for it to work, so that's a deal breaker for me. The fingerprint access works fairly well, but can be picky and force you to type in the code instead. If you do any work that puts dust on your fingers, you'll be typing in the code. And you'll be surprised how often your finger gets dirty, or even healing from a cut. It won't work with wifi (and Alexa) unless you buy a $50 "bridge" separately. I wrongly assumed this thing would open by proximity to my phone with me just walking up to it. It doesn't do that. But it turns out most people never use that feautre on the locks that have it because it's so buggy. So this lock is better than fumbling for keys, but not by much.

Why call this an installation video when you fast forward to the entire installation explaining nothing

It didn't say step by step installation video...and the only thing I fast forwarded was the installation of the door lock, which I'm pretty sure anyone can do...nothing special about this over a normal handle/lock.

My door thickness is 55Mm can i get long screw say of 3 inch and 6 inch rod also.Please help.

The screw wouldn’t be the issue at that point. You’d want to make sure that the cable would be long enough. You’ll have to contact their support to see about the length of it.

Okay so we have a locking doorknob and a top deadbolt so how can we use a lock like this with 2 holes in our door?

You can't with this specific one. Ultraloq does have some versions that would work for your setup.

I wonder could I use it on an outdoor gate? Are both sides weatherproof?

You know, I honestly do not know the answer, but I have emailed my contact with the company and I'll let you know once he gets back with me what their answer is. I know that the outside part with the fingerprint reader is waterproof, but the battery compartment would be my worry. I'll let you know either way.

Alright, I got my answer back from the company. They said they do not recommend putting it outside like that because the internal part is not waterproof. So unfortunately it wouldn't be a good lock for that situation.

Well you can turn off the auto lock and so you have to manually lock it.

I have a question. I downloaded the app and It found my lock but when I put my admin code it says error code even it is the same i added on the lock. Do you know what I can do about it?

That is very odd. Not sure why or how it wouldn't allow you to do that. I'd reach out to Ultraloq and see if its something on their end. Or try and reset the password and see if that works.

It works with its own ultraloq app. I believe it’s now called U-Tec app. Or are you talking like third party, like Google assistant or Amazon Alexa?

Hi, great video. I’m having an issue with my Ultraloq ul3bt. Batteries are brand new, energizer, but the problem I’m having is that the outside handle won’t open! I have to use physical key to enter my house. Please help. Thanks!!

It’s actually my favorite lock but I’d suggest looking at their newer locks, they have some really amazing ones now.

Hey Alex, I finally heard back from them and they said no, its not an option and there is no way to turn it off. Which does stink, can't see why that isn't an option. Sorry for the news!

Does it work with any Assistance like Siri Alexa Google?

It does work with Alexa and IFTTT but you have to have the bridge to do that.

Good question, yes it does work with the UL3 BT lock. If you go to their site and go to just the bridge page, down towards the bottom it shows which locks it’s compatible with.

I presume the Bluetooth is optional? I can just use fingerprints / codes without needing to have my phone on me every time I unlock door?

Correct, you can use just the keypad or even just the key or setup your fingerprint and your phone. All can be done separately or together.

Ah alright, yeah it will just let you leave, since its just a door lock and not the deadbolt you wont have anything to twist or turn to unlock the door to get out. You can set it up, depending on which version of the lock, to lock once you leave, or just hit the lock button on the keypad and it will lock, or use its app to lock it.

I understand what you mean, it would be nice to have it be the deadbolt, and if you end up having another lock for the deadbolt it kinda makes this lock less useful. I'm not sure I'd use it on my front door, don't mind it being on the shed or a door with only the main handle latch. It does make it a little difficult to advise this lock if you have a deadbolt as well. If I didn't have a deadbolt as well, then yes, I wouldn't have an issue using this lock.

What happens if u have a deadbolt?

If you have a deadbolt you’d get one of their other products like the U-bolt Pro. This is for doors that only have a handle and no deadbolt.

@@GrossTechnology hey forget the deadbolt. What about the second smaller hole above the handle that I see in some commercials. Is that needed to install the product?

Good question! That is an extra security hole. All it does is allow another bolt to mount or secure the top of the lock more. It is not a must, and for those who rent and can’t put new holes in, it still works great and is secure, but if you’d like more, you can drill and install that.

Whenever I press scan it just sits there for 10 minutes saying scanning

So first off make sure the batteries are good, because it should show up. If the batteries are good and when you search with your bluetooth turned on your device then I'd contact their support. support@u-tec.com

Does that mean if someone else downloads the app. connects via bluetooth and knocks 4 times...it opens?

NO, you have to sign into your own account. If a person gets your account and logs in and is setup, then yes. So it has the security of your account, just like every other smart device.

@@GrossTechnology So to unlock the door via your phone you have to login everytime? I guess it's good security wise but kind of a hassle. I just want my phone in my pocket or something to unlock the door via bluetooth. Or maybe just open the app and press unlock.

man just u absolutely don't need to login every time you just need to login once and keep your bluetooth open every time and knock every time when u need to unlock

No, once you are signed into your account on the app you don't have to keep logging in and out each time. It keeps you logged in unless you log out.
