They wrote Peter into a no win situation, wounded multiple times, all the help he did have was down, and out fast, any support given backfires, and Shield agents have shown up at the most inconvenient moments; just had no personnel to send to a street under attack by escaped super villains. In the mix of all that the one call that goes out is to the Aunt the least effective person. It ended with the way it started it proved director Danvers and Cap wrong; that seems to be the main reason it got that out of hand.

I've been reading comics since the 80's. I've been through a lot of superhero deaths. They pretty much always come back. Knowing that didnt matter, after years of reading Bendis' Spider-Man, I wasnt ready for this ending. Shit had me damn near sobbing.

Another heartbreaking thing is that The Punisher actually felt bad that he shot Peter. Sure he lied and told Fury that he was aiming at Cap's knee but still Frank felt really bad and I bet he felt worse when he found out Peter died

Thanks you Benny. I’m not sure if this is the same video… but your retelling of the death of Spiderman was the first of your videos I saw. My family didn’t really let me read comics books growing up. I find it honorable that Otto Octavius had a change of heart in the end, and even insinuated that he was proud of Peter Parker. And we know it was completely true because his life wasn't threatened until he spoke those words.

Dang, technically it was Frank Castle that killed Spider-Man. As I was watching this I thought, "Dang it's really taking him a long time to bleed out, hurry up." i was more talking about how long it took to bleed out and its likely the gunshot and the beating. and the size of the bullet hole is more becuase the round was likely from a armor piercing round since Cap wears armor spider man does not so the shot would have no resistance thus went through cleanly most gun shot size comes from a deformed bullet

I remember growing up reading the Ultimate Spider-Man comics and when I first read this story I was sad and angry and I felt like an actual close friend actually died but then I realized it's better to burn out than to fade away. The amazing Spider-Man comics became super bland lately and if the ultimate spiderman comics were to go on it would follow the same path as the main comics. Peter died a good death. Saving the people who matters most to him and redeeming the guilt caused by uncle bens death. That in my opinion is what Spider-Man is truly about. Rest in piece my favorite interpretation of Spider-Man.

I think the sad part is that the ultimate universe definitely captures Peter Parker very well with all his struggles and friends around him and then he is killed off and later replaced with in my opinion a boring Spider-Man, I like miles but I don't think he holds a candle to peter as a character and as Spider-Man

I had a whole rant ready and everything, but I’ll just stick to the cliffnotes. Peter Parker, Spider-Man, is the best hero of all time and the 1610 didn’t and will never deserve him. Captain America is trash The Punisher is trash Carol Danvers is trash(seriously kill the wannabe hero off) X-Men are trash(don’t know where they were during this, but I know for a fact that either Charles or Jean would’ve sensed something was up in Queens) Sinister Six is trash(took all six of them to kill an already dead hero, and even then he died after he beat the shit out of all of them) But most of all, holy shit I’m crying right now.

Can you do ultimate fallout and peters funeral and the aftermath?

I love this story. This genuinely made me feel, words can't describe how much i love this, but one word can: Spectacular

He was just a young teenager but has saved more life's than a seasoned hero

should have a warning:do not watch without a handkerchief.

I loved this. Not because Peter died but because it was handled so well. I'd love to see you do the Miles Morales stuff but there will probably be a lot of hate and arguing in the comments

his run as Ultimate Spider-man was actually REALLY good. Bit since secret war everything became a huge steaming pile of shit.

You know I have read this comic a hundred times and I don't get emotional through most of it, it doesn't faze me at all, but the end when Uncle Ben says "you did good kid, you did real good" that ALWAYS gets to me... that hits me in the gut. (I mean they could have put an end to it with the close up to his face but that was a sucker punch from Marvel.) I can hear the fact that it got to you as well Comicstorian (from your voice). I suppose it should get to us all considering we have had Peter Parker for so long that no one could imagine him dying, not truly.

Wow. I had read the Ultimate series back in the day and was devastated by Peter's death (Spidey was, is and will always be my fav superhero of all times and I was super in love with the Ultimate Universe). Then I accepted the awesome job Bendis and Sara Pichelli did with Miles. Still, knowing how this was going to end, watching this video gave me goosebumps. You did good, man. +1 sub for sure.
