Hah I didn't even notice that. It was against a tree he barely missed too. I'm guessing this is a common occurance given how fast you see everyone going. They even placed secondary safety barriers at the junction just in case a car jumps the first one, which is not something I have ever seen before.
6:32 I ride that road on my ebike on a regular basis and see these and others riding 2 and 3 abreast whilst approaching blind bends. It is part of the Cheshire cycle route but that doesn't mean we should hog the road at the expense of other road users. We should all be aware we have responsibilities to others and riding 2 and 3 abreast on narrow winding country lanes is NOT giving consideration to other road users. Having said that the car was too fast and too close but I also understand their frustration.
People always blame "blindspots" yet we are taught to lean to see around these spots in our cars. Never an excuse to pull into moving traffic without knowing what is going on.

Indeed, If when on my bike, I claimed everything behind me was in a blind spot, and so I could be forgiven for not seeing what was there when manoeuvring, I would rightly be heavily criticised. However, it seems many think moving one's head is not required of drivers.

On a single track country road recently I reached a T-junction that was 100% blind both ways - you’d have to have crept out about 75% before you could see. I was very lucky to have a passenger on board who could get out and look around the corner for me. Yes I wound the windows down to listen out too. Reversing all the way down the single track wasn’t worth thinking about with no passing place / U-turn places for ages and the risk of encountering someone else behind. Horrible situation.

At the same time, dash cam car had zero reason to beep at them (likely why they silenced it), there was no danger and the note indicates they were using the horn to "tell them off". Yes, a complete fail for the motorist entering fast traffic at slow speed and worse into the path of someone at the point he enters the fast traffic. Even a novice should be taught to enter the traffic at the same speed or nearly so as the fast traffic and merge without causing cars to do more than adjust their speed slightly if at all. You can see the slip way has good visibility for a hundred yards and more. The driver on the slipway has only to turn his head to see how to adjust his approach. If people keep their proper distance then slipping in behind a car at the same speed is or should be safe. When a driver is at the end of the slipway and is almost stationary then they need to relearn properly if they aren’t killed first.

Actually this a marathon that everyone in Cheshire and their cousins were given plenty of warning about and told there would be delays. This isn’t common for cyclists to be in formation like this. They have every right to be in the middle even if they weren’t part of the marathon. It’s safer for them and stops idiots overtaking when it’s not safe to do so. There were many signs warning of this marathon so end of the day the van driver should of know better and kept speed down to a minimum knowing full well he was driving on part of the route.

@@Daniel-S1 No, the cammer wanted to go straight on, which they were perfectly entitled to do given the road marking on approach to the lights.
7:13 While the cammer was going too quickly for the conditions, this is a dangerous bit of road which needs improvement/realignment - a dip on a bend means that the tyres' level of grip goes down (on the dip) just as it is needed more than ever (for the bend). Negative camber on the outside of corners is a similar issue, but most of these have been corrected by now.
After 40 plus years of driving and riding motorbikes, I believe I've found the answer to stress free motoring, or as close as you can get. I bought a 25 year old automatic. While I agree to some degree, he was going a bit fast compared to the other traffic, judging by how fast, or rather how slow, he was gaining on the van I doubt it was an excessive amount of speeding. Here in the Netherlands highways are 100km/h and the amount of times I join a highway and set cruise at ~104 and proceed to undertake half the left lane which all drive at 95 for some reason can't be counted on one hand so who's to say the car giving space to merge wasn't going a bit slow.

Evidence? What speed was he going? What is the speed limit on that road? How far exactly was he from the near side of the road? How much time did he have to see yhe cyclists? Should the cyclists be travelling two abreast on a narrow road? It could be argued that the car did nothing wrong and if the cyclists were riding more responsibly, then it would not have been as close as it looked. I agree. What the kings highway is, is not a race track for these cyclists. They were clearly distracted because they had an inner monologue running through their heads, believing that they were competing in The Tour de France or something like that. The motorist actually did a pretty good job, by concentrating on the matter at hand. 100%, the fault of the cyclists.
Clip two. It’s clearly one lane and THEN splits to two at the roundabout also even if it was two lane you’d still need to indicate to show you are now moving from you illegally parked location.
#9 I really hope the Cam car passed on the footage to the van driver. Silver car is a dangerous t w at just take the next exit!
#7 3:42 Yet another bad driver who hits the horn even when it isn't necessary and doesn't like it when other drivers retaliate.

Amazes me why stupid people don't use their handbrake when stopped at traffic lights. Also those that keep creeping forward!!! They are red!!!!
6:20 he wasn’t close enough to those Lycra clad tools.
Read the Highway Code cyclists should be in single file…..it’s not the Tour de France.
Why just assume the guy was drunk or on drugs like people need either of them to be a prick
6:56 #13. This cam car driver IS at fault here in a big way. He was 'undertaking' the cars in lane 2 despite the emerging car being clearly visible from a long way back. The cam car showed no sign of slowing, or moving to lane 2 to avoid danger. The emerging car was mainly at fault, but the cam car driver is very far from 'skilled'. He was lucky the car in lane 2 avoided him.
6:27 license plate RCC 9? Needs reporting for dangerous driving. They made no effort to slow down or give any space.
6m09sec The poor lorry driver will get it in the neck probably. There's too many drivers who think they can simply flounce onto the motorway at a leisurely pace like they're the only driver in the universe. He/she is in a Beemer for crying out loud. More than enough get up n' go to get ahead of the lorry. Or as the cammer says. Slow down, get in behind, then floor it past the lorry. It is a motorway after all.
The cyclists should not have been taking up all of the lane also they would have heard the vehicle coming before the driver saw them they had plenty of time to go into single file, the vehicle when he or she did spot them made no attempt to slow down both were at fault the driver for not slowing down which I guess is because he /she noticed the cyclists were not going to move, and the cyclists ignorance when they are in groups like this. cyclists need to learn to stop being so ignorant they will get hurt if the two collide the driver will always come out unscathed, the cyclists will not.

Clip number 7....it wasnt even close if you felt the need to alert the driver who was already on what looks like a pretty terrible junction/roundabout then you really need some spacial awareness

The driver at 6:20 needs to be found, prosecuted and have his licence revoked ASAP. There's no way someone like that should be allowed on roads. He was centimetres away from killing multiple people.

What is up with some of these dashcam drivers. Yep some other drivers ain't so great either, but really. Do you need to close gaps and obviously no sound on some but you can tell they over used their horns to tell someone off and then wonder why they get a certain reaction. Certain drivers imo are better in front of you not behind you as it's safer for you. All road users should be aware of what's ahead even cyclist's. Yep car was well to fast, but you cannot rely on other's on the roads to keep you safe only you can do that. Even with pedestrians crossing roads. All it takes is one error and that's you, because you left your safety in the hands of others. Like with that bmw. No way am i sitting alongside a hgv. If I'm overtaking it's as fast as possible otherwise i sit behind and wait as if the gap alongside it is a yellow box junction and i don't enter till i can clear. Same on a roundabout and even with cars i try not to be alongside or in the blindspot ever. Accidents do happen though many at awkwardly angled junctions as you cannot see or because we can only look one way at a time and some cars don't indicate. car in front goes then stops and you see them go. But then they stop. You don't see that as you looking at traffic to the right and your moving. Even the cars warning systems don't work to stop that one. All happens to quick All you can do is minimise risk. Alot of other Accidents, situations are avoidable with road positioning and more defensive driving. Like with the black car that was stopped and drove off, didn't indicate but camer had the opportunity to make it a non event and didn't imo. Poor driving from both. On another day the same outcome might not happen. Is it really worth it. I guess some though want footage also, but many camers clips show up also their poor driving. Well done to the guy behind the learner. Experienced drivers maybe could of gone but not an inexperienced one. We was all that person at one point in time.
Cyclists who take up both sides of a rural road are shocked when vehicle comes around corner on his own side of the road !. 🙄

1) It's a narrow country lane, there aren't 'both sides' 2) Cyclists two abreast is narrower than a car 3) If the car had been driving at a safe speed the cyclists could have moved over to single file and the car could have passed safely 4) Even if the cyclists were single file the car was driving far too fast for his pass to be safe 5) Cyclists are just as entitled to use the road as car drivers 6) If the car driver had killed somebody with that manoeuvre he'd be serving a very long prison term

The pickup was incredibly stupid approaching those cyclists, have to say though, as a pedestrian who frequently walks along a public footpath which cyclists have started using, I've had the equivalent from self entitled twats on bikes.
7:00 there’s no excuse for the emerging car, they were completely at fault. When approaching a giveaway at a junction, you should position your car so that you can see traffic you have to give way to. The poor positioning of this car resulted in the cammer being in a blind spot that they couldn’t avoid being in. Really poor driving skills and a bit of common sense wouldn’t hurt.

But he wasn’t overtaking. He was been overtaken and the manoeuvre wasn’t complete otherwise the truck in lane two would have moved into lane one. The likely chain of events was that truck in lane one was loaded to the max and going uphill therefore losing speed allowing truck in lane two to attempt an overtake. Once they’d crested the hill and lane one truck had momentum/weight on his side he was absolutely entitled to carry on making progress in his lane. Not his fault the snail didn’t have the power/higher limiter to complete the overtake. Lane two truck should have eased off for thirty seconds and not attempted the overtake then this ‘drama’ would not have occurred. Just another impatient driver who can’t ease off. And yes I do drive these, have done for many years and have experienced this stupidity many times. I could actually see this unfolding in front of me and often shook my head in disbelief.
