Lee is definitely the man when it comes to really protecting your self. No fancy dojo bullshit, just real stuff that really works. Thank you Lee, please keep these vid coming!
Lee Morrison is a machine- who kindly teaches people things! I can’t think of a single other instructor at the same level.
One of the best combatives men out there. Him, Kelly McCann and Craig Douglas are the holy Trinity.
Lee's in a class ALL BY HIMSELF!

what happens if you are in the close range and someone gets double under hooks, controls you and takes you down?

This is for fighting against unskilled drunk guys. Don’t worry about them pummeling for underhooks on you. If you are worried then learn wrestling or BJJ

The issue I have with Lee's teaching, is you are excepted if you are a tattoed geezer, but if you are a humble passive student needing to learn how to protect yourself, you don't have the opportunity to incrementally learn; like you would starting off as a white belt. It's a case of 'man up' immediately and be a geezer like us. There isn't a spectrum of learning curve .....despite Lee claiming to have his training tiered. A big failure in Lee's training. It's a classic case of a brilliant practitioner but inept at being able to teach it (pass on) for a general student.

I sort of agree if this how he teaches newcomers. But this might be a seminar for advanced students. Over the last 8 years doing krav, I've observed that a lot of people get into self defence as a direct result of an altercation. Most can't hit their way out of a wet paper bag when they start, then in a short period of time they become more confident, aggressive and skilled because they are 'allowed' and encouraged to be. But if things don't step up a gear after a year they either stagnate or leave. I've trained with clubs who stick with the basics to reel the newcomers in and keep them there until they get bored just to make money, and also ones who teach you advanced and aggressive techniques from the start. It's the latter who have less students but 90% of them have been there over 2 years and the skill levels are way higher. A lot of students don't realise proper self defence is hard, painful and requires commitment, they find that out soon enough if the club/instructor is a good one.
