U.S. Punishes Iranians and Threatens Nations That Disobey

As the Trump administration and its Israeli government ally continue their destabilization campaign against Iran, the EU, Russia, and China have reached a deal with Tehran that would shield financial transactions from newly reimposed U.S. sanctions. The U.S. has warned of "terrible consequences" for those defying its sanctions. Can Iran and the remaining nuclear deal partners withstand U.S. pressure? We speak to Col. Lawrence Wilkerson

I agree with Iran on this one, We (my country) ARE the great satan. Look how many countries we have attacked and people we have killed. We are now in Syria illegally and refuse to leave. We killed almost 3 million in the Vietnamese slaughter for no real reason. We spend more on our military that all other countries combined. We uphold and arm the most disgusting country (Israel) on the planet as that country continues to destroy it's original peoples. We arm a country (Saudi arabia) that is not a democracy, still has a king, Females must be covered head to toe and cannot drive, people are beheaded and their hands chopped off. Yes we are the great satan.

Those who favor a military "solution" for iran need to contemplate the difference in geography between Iran and Iraq. The latter, which is flat and clearly easy to invade with tanks contrasts with the mountainous terrain of Iran. Beyond lobing bombs all over the place, US basically cannot invate because that would require the same military that invaded North Korea back in the fifties, on foot essentially. Tanks don't work in mountains. So US cannot invade and therefore they cannot change the regime except from the inside; yeah right! Good luck on that.

Would claim there are other forces at work here as well…. It is in many countries interest to keep Iran in the JCPOA not because of any nuclear reasons but to show that the US can not just threaten the whole world the whole time. Iran is a crucial point to build from, other payment systems and cooperations bypassing the US. To be this vulnerable and exposed to the US is dangerous for *ANY COUNTRY* even so called allies and this sanction circle has to be broken. Iran is a pivotal point to keep international law and trade somewhat still relevant.

This is one fight too far, Iran will prevail in the long run. Iran’s pain threshold is way way higher than the likes of Bolton and Netanyahu, They have seen so many hostile presidents off whilst maintaining their position. Americans however don’t know the meaning of pain, they’ve not been pained since naam and obviously have forgotten how pain feels. Like it or not iran is one of very few countries that can and will inflict pain on a hostile America hence all mouth and no trousers. One thing the Americans have been masters of is the art of disrespect and hypocrisy whilst preaching everything they refuse to practice themselves. Here’s a message to all warmongers, put yer tin hats on and go fight them if you have balls not even big balls, just balls, make sure however that Bolton, Netanyahu and all their goones are right on the warfront with their wife and kids shielding you patriots!!!

Iran is at the point of no return, presently too much is happening between Iran and Europe, under no circumstances Iran would go over Europe's head, it is to Iran's advantage to reduce USA's power by finding a way of making USA's sanctions irrelevant hence eroding Israel's influence around the world.

This place that he indicated as nuclear facility is small company that washes persian rugs. It's located in a small village outside Tehran. But the funny thing is the name of this village. In Iran if someone wants to lowball someone, says go to "Goorgoos Abad" there you can find it for that price. For example, if your house worth $500,000, someone offers you $200,000. You would tell him to go to that village, you will find one for that price. It's an Iranian expression. After his speech and map, this has become a national joke. You can Google the map yourself. Kids drove there and finally the media went there.

Bit surprising that Wilkerson is poor enough a judge of character to fathom if but for a moment that the Iranians are remotely comparable to the NK and will accept to come to talks after having been blackmailed , threatened and sanctioned , unfortunately . It would definitely make matters easier if they did . By the way ...a comparison with NK is all the more bizarre all the more that in essense , the DPRK is still armed to the teeth . One idea comes to mind though ....what if Trump had made it clear under the table to both countries "that everything has to change so that nothing changes " , meaning that if they pretend to play nice thus making him look good for a re-election they will get to merrily carry on as they always have and all will be covered by pantomines of annuhilation which everybody knows will never take place . Trump and his clique are so trashy that it wouldn't surprise me one bit .

Tough talk/Soft Talk is just that. Talk. On the international stage, what counts is military and economic strength. That situation has strongly changed. Yes, the US can still destroy the world. However, so can Russia and China today. Control of the air itself is no longer in the hands -- or is it wings (?) of the US. Modern technology has changed that. Computers, computer software, hypersonic missiles, satellites - have changed relative military strengths. The arrival of Chinese economic and financial might have also changed the relative strengths and influence of the large nations. The US is now in the position of struggling to "keep its' head above water" in maintaining its economic/military empire. Desperation only increases the foolish mistakes it makes and there's a real danger that, as its' empire collapses, it will bring down all of human civilization. Pres. Trump has brought to the fore all of the big-mouthed, make-believe tough guys in the hope of intimidating the EU, North Korea, Iran, Turkey and others. As we saw, heard and read of the President's reception in the General Assembly, where he was greeted with laughs, the world situation is rapidly changing. He may be fooling the American people and the Real Network with theatrics, but the world's changes are accelerating. At the same time, I fear for the people of the world -- all of us.

He does not cite the circumstances or factors that triggered that revolutionary spirit in 1953, as compared to today's forces that have been incessant to overthrow any Iranian government that the Iranian people chooses.

What the administration does in the international arena directly extends or contracts the working day of the nation. For every dollar the administration spends on defense extends and prolongs indefinitely the amount of time a person has to spend at work to replenish the government's income of what was spent and annihilated in foreign wars and destruction. Duration of the working day is always a question left open ended by the Senate and Congress. Employers would push workers on the job day into night if it were not for the limits of human endurance. Their factories pump out war products under defense contracts like there is no tomorrow when a war is in process. Other parts of the economy chug along or stagger, or collapse from a dearth of investment. No employment, or people dislocated because of multiple employment, each part time gig too thin to earn a living. Families are broken down. War is a boom for the arms weapons industry and its specialized workforce. Defense fueled by the investment directly take from a public fund the Senate is the ultimate authority on how GDP gets spent and for what. The Senate has control of the work day and all the workers in the country as to how they get their share of the gross domestic product. The Senate takes its share first and buys with it the life only dreamt about in ordinary minds. Society can live without the Senate but the Senate cannot live without society. The Catholic Church is not a vital institution to the survival of a country the Senate is not vital either. The Senate's attitude toward society is like that of a parent obsessed with control over a handicapped child, along with employers strict controls over the child's movements are placed on workers to limit their movement on the job to a single redundant action. Ask no question just do as you are told.
