Got a nice little anecdote about L94. Happened to be at Quainton Road when they were trying to dismantle her prior to sending her to the Flour Mill at Parkend. A stalwart approached me and asked-' You any good with a jackhammer? To which I replied, Yes, that's something I can handle. So they set me up good and proper and my task was to (surprise) release the smokebox from a bed of concrete! About which I knew nothing whatsoever. However that was all about to change, as I found out fast. The top layer was quite hard going but the interior resembled Aero but didn't taste quite so good.I will say one thing:- I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Bit on the loud side but the ear defenders helped quite a bit.Happy to do it all again - should it ever happen.Alistair
