Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
The Tyseley Locomotive Works held their open day on Sunday 24th October. The event featured many things such as passenger rides on the demonstration line, turntable demonstrations and locomotive cavalcades. The "Star" attraction however was the rare outside appearance of GWR Star Class 4-6-0 no.4003 'Lode Star', visiting from the National Railway Museum in York and on her way to Swindon where she will be placed on display in 'STEAM' museum. The was also to be the first time a 'Star' had been at Tyseley since the 1950s.

- ex-GWR 4900 Class 'Hall' 4-6-0 no.4965 'Rood Ashton Hall'

@EMuksteam thanks again mate, it was a great event, especially with the brilliant weather although it did pour down with rain at the end. It was great to see Lode Star out in the open and to see her wheels moving, she looked gorgeous in the sunshine.
very good video very entertaining got some great shots from the open day
@MG06ZT thanks again mate =) Yeah were there from about half 10ish until about half 4 when we had to get our train back to Banbury and drive off home to Swindon. I went home happy as I had been bought one of Hornby's new limited edition Castle Class 7037 'Swindon', the guys from the STEAM museum in Swindon had only brought along 6 so I was quite lucky =)
They need to get 4003 Lode Star running some day.

Never going to happen. She is an incredibly rare example of a locomotive that has never been touched for restoration of any kind since her preservation. even the paint is original. you are likely going to have to wait for somebody to build a replica star class to see one running

@@thefatfrier it *might* happen that Lode Star get steamed. Highly unlikely but possible
@letmadnessbegin I help out as a steward on the opendays. So, you probably saw me round the turntable or on the crossing. Never enough people to volunteer!

@coatewatersam thank you =) Indeed, it was nice to see her out of the NRM for a change. No, that wasn't Clun Castle it was a GWR 2884 Class although I'm not sure of the number
@BristolCastle cheers mate, nice one, you won't be disappointed, it's a great camcorder
@waynemargera1999 thank you, glad you liked it =) It was lovely to see 4003 getting some sun and would certainly be something if the NRM overhauled her.
Good vid again, nice moving shots. I see you got them putting Lode Star away when that bit of rain came! You managed to get me, hands in pockets! You must of been there all day?
Looks like someone forgot to release the handbrake on 5043's tender at 8:00. Oops :)
