Ty Gibbs vs Sam Mayer at Martinsville

Спорт

Dale Earnhardt Jr. joins spotters Brett Griffin, TJ Majors and Freddie Kraft on Door Bumper Clear to breakdown Ty Gibbs and Sam Mayer’s last-lap contact and fight in the Xfinity Series race at Martinsville Speedway. I've seen a few of these breakdown videos but there are a few things no one is pointing out. Everyone seems to think Gibbs was upset for being raced like he has been racing everyone else. He wasn't. Gibbs even said in his interview "I was on the other end of it last week." Sam Mayer and Gibbs have a history. What Gibbs was upset about (based on Mayer's interview after the meeting in the hauler) was that he thought Mayer intentionally put him into the wall AFTER the bump and run. What Gibbs hadn't realized was the 10 put the 1 into the 54 which caused the 54 to go hard into the wall. It all exploded from there.

The deal with JHN gave me the appearance of him feeling like he knew JHM wasn;t gonna do anything due to his employment status at Gibbs racing being affected by hitting JOE'S grandson . The kids got talent but also has the best equipment on the circut and the stuff he drives in ARCA is twice as good as anything else on track . RE: Ty Gibbs. In all due respect to Dale and the panel. In sum 200 IKF Kart then AMA Pro Bike races, I paid for most of my race vehicles. I built my first race kart with the earnings from a paper route. I was twelve yrs. old. The MacCulloch engine I bought took nearly two months of earnings. I never won, but would finish in the top five, behind kids in the latest Mac powered Caretta, Hovey and Dart Karts. Believe me, I saw my share of the TY Gibbs of this world. This even extended to AMA Sportsman bikes. In my early twenties, I gained top sponsorship for the two years I spent in the AMA Pro Leagues. To quote Cindi Lauper, "Money changes everything." I realize that at the pro level, we must put on a good show and rivalries can improve the show... ... but don't tell me that the field is level and how hard you worked for that ride...Ty.

When the different rookies climbing in it last year running at the front now this year, the Xfinity Supra, if truly played by the rules the fords and chevys played by, the Supra would have to run in the modified class at most, since allowed by nascar the (Camry looking) back half. I think Ty would have reacted the same way no matter who it was that moved him out of the way. The question has been answered Nascar family! NO! Ty Gibbs can not take what he dishes out! When it becomes more about the fist fights and less about the racing is the day my tv channel changes and Nascar tickets are no longer bought. Movie stars and race car drivers have different laws i guess. I would still be in jail for hitting someone like that. But i'm just poor common folk.

I actually feel bad for Coach Gibbs. He has always been the consummate gentleman and a true professional. To have his driver, who happens to be related to him, behave like such a horses ass, has to be a bit embarrassing to the guy. As far as Sam goes, he's in a no win situation. If he fights Ty Gibbs and beats his ass, which I suspect he would, then everyone hates him for beating up a child, which is what it would look like. All in all, can't wait for the next race. NOW we're getting somewhere!!!
