    Jamie, I just wanted to mention here that I studied your Fretboard navigator LL series more than 10 years ago, and it's the most useful guitar video lessons I ever took. Thank you for that!

    I just Love the enthusiasm and joy that this unit brings to you! It is inspiring to see someone who loves both the music and the Tech! I should really figure out how to start programming with MIDI. I just need to figure out where to start - what MIDI controller? Footpedal? I can even use my Alesis vi25 keyboard I suppose but that is not very guitar performance friendly is it. Any suggestions on where to start?

    Thanks for the post!! Yes you’ll need 3 inputs; fx left and right, fully panned and 100% effect, not dry signal. The dry signal is on a mono channel in the centre ;

    Great review man! And happy to be a new subscriber. I currently use a two amp setup for my stereo effects (no FX loops unfortunately) so straight in to the fronts of my tube heads. I’d like to get my time delayed effects AFTER. So, are you saying I can run from one amp head- speaker output - into the Two Notes Then XLR left and right out to my stereo pedals?? Then straight into my interface or the board? Great tones on that demo as well sir.

    Hello Jamie, I didn't quite get the last part of your setup. Are you sending your signal to studio monitors and cabinets?

  • @SixStringAlliance

    @SixStringAlliance

    4 жыл бұрын

    Bruno Cormack for the demo it was running into Cubase, monitoring via my in ears. For Live it’s sent to the engineer, so again I wear in ears. The point of the setup is to not have to use cabinets, so it’s a silent rig. To achieve wet dry wet in a conventional way you’d need either 3 amps and 3 cabs, or an amp, power amp and 3 cabs.this set up relies only on Captor X and is silent. Many tours I do require silent setups

    Great video man! How would you compare this to the Boss TAE? Do you feel like the Boss TAE justifies being 2x the price of the Two Notes Captor X? I'm completely new to the world of IRs, load boxes and attenuators. Ultimately, I just want to be able to record my vintage tube amps at their sweet spot, play silently through headphones late night, and also just be able to crank my amps to their sweet spot and attenuate the volume when I don't want to fiddle with software or redirect the output through monitors. Not sure if the TAE would be overkill for me and if I should save money with the Captor X or not. Cheers!

    So you can record in your pc without the pedals in your fx loop? Hearing your fx loop, but not being recorded?

  • @SixStringAlliance

    @SixStringAlliance

    3 жыл бұрын

    Not sure what you mean. Captor X is connected to your amp via the speaker out, it takes the load from you amp as well as allowing you to use countless cab and mic IR’s. You run this direct into your recording software to capture your amp tone, or use it live so your setup is silent.

  • @felipeleschot

    @@SixStringAlliance I got a delay on the Fx Loop... the delay would be captured on the PC through the Captor?

  • @SixStringAlliance

    @SixStringAlliance

    3 жыл бұрын

    Yes, for wet dry wet, you feed the delay with one of Captor X outputs. You then come from your delay in stereo to you interface, with the FX mix of your delay 100% wet. you pan that left and right in your DAW. The other output from captor X is your dry tone, so with out the delay. That signal is centre in your DAW.

  • @SixStringAlliance

    @SixStringAlliance

    3 жыл бұрын

    I use mine in stereo with my effects. Set Captor X to dual mono, i feed one signal dry and the other powers my effects that out put in stereo. So that way will work. . I explain this setup towards the end of this video. This unit wouldn't benefit from being stereo, thats not the concept, but having the stereo reverb on the outputs for the separate mics gives it stereo spread.
