I don’t disagree with you at all, because SOMETHING needs to be done. The problem with that is that you can’t just stop someone from being able to claim something that is in fact their content even though they’ve falsely tried claiming something in the past. It’s like if someone tried to claim ownership of a stolen car that wasn’t actually theirs but got caught trying to claim ownership, then their car actually got stolen later on, it can’t prevent them from then claiming ownership over something that is rightfully their property. And again, I don’t disagree with you at all and something needs to happen, I just think that legally speaking youtube couldn’t prevent someone from claiming ownership over something that is legally theirs just because they tried maliciously doing it in the past. I would think they’d have to do something more like a fine or something along those lines for anyone abusing the system. Either that or removing their KZread accounts all together or something like that.
