I don't know why you're confused here. Keemstar said there was proof of harassment, which he offered in his video. People spun this to mean there was proof of rape. Keemstar NEVER said there was proof of the rape accusation. SO keemstar replied that there is NO proof of rape, but that there IS proof of harassment.

Theo, i somewhat get where youre coming from, but i get the sense youre trying to come across as the better person by zooming in on a seemingly important, yet insignificant part of the story when contrasted to the entire context- mainly with the idea of giving females a platform. You need to argue WHY this SHOULD be an appropriate platform for this in the first place, as aside from it distracting justice from being served with the police (and even protecting others from your assaulter) it may easily encourage them to further discuss and go into their traumatizing event. Your voice is power, and when you drunkenly speak, it makes all of us look worse. If you want to debate, this is not the best area to do so, as right now there is a potential rape case in front of us, so we should instead get back on the same page and focus: two girls have many holes in their story and their behavior seems to be for attention rather than for help, which even if it sucks that this is them failing to cope, this may influence other survivors to do the same- of which Keemstar ignores and somehow doubles down on his ignorance. We must out leeches who cannot act like an adult and easily abuse their power to take away users access to freedom, expression, and even their livelihoods.

No one is saying that they cannot have a platform, dont get emotional here, as we want to see justice and people not throw these things around lightly; what we ARE saying is that the combination of this and that they did not go to the police (and the heavy social media usage after) is extremely suspicious, in comparison to thousands of similar victims who only had one accuser instead of 2. Idk these girls or their situation, but laughter is not uncommon when a victim reports a crime. It's a really awkward situation to tell a stranger about a sexual encounter, so folks sometimes giggle or their voice cracks or they make jokes. It's a way to relieve tension when you're nervous or a situation is weird. I work in law & I've seen victims (who had actual physical evidence btw) go from laughing weirdly to crying when trying to describe what happened. I think something unpleasant happened to these girls but Keemstar isn't the right person to tell their story

keemstar reported on an accusation made by a third party. he did not lie about the girls claims and he gave the other party a chance to respond

@@Lue_Duck Yes he did lie about the girls claim since he stated they provided proof. It has the effect of making the claim more legitimate and credible than it actually is. That and the fact that he "became" skeptical after the girls started to make claims that would make him look bag not only confirm that he takes sides rather than simply reporting but also shows that he isn't interested in finding the truth but making himself look good. And considering he does it in almost every instances when he get involve you should expect him to have learnt not to do that. In short he isn't simply reporting third party claims.

@@cyrilmagi6201 He never said they had proof of being raped, he said they had proof of being harassed. The proof he offered was a video of a phone call. Weather or not you think he's taking sides is irrelevant, what matters is what keemstar said, and he never said the girls claims where truthful. If a person claims they where raped by a popular content creator then that is worth reporting on, even if their claims aren't true. Keemstar never supported their claims or said their claims where legmitimate, he simply reported on the fact that they made those claims. You do not need proof to report on an accusations, the act of accusing is news worthy enough.

@@Lue_Duck He claimed he had proof of harassement and in the same tweet said they alleged sexual assault. When he got called out he said that there wasn't evidence meaning that he likely dosen't consider the phone call to be proof. How do you not see that a) if you say that one of the statement is backed by evidence it makes the second statement wich is a logical escalation of the situation becomes more credible than it is and that b) he made up having evidence and isn't just reporting third party claims since it makes the way he presented the "facts" disengenuous.

I understand why Keem gets so defensive anytime someone calls him out on his shit but c'mon, really? I feel like if he really wanted to report news he should keep things professional and /not/ just insert his opinion in a holier than thou tone because it just makes him come off as a douche whose "facts" are never to be challenged. It irritates me that he doesn't seem to get why people are so pissed when he starts out his interview by stating that he hates the person being discussed, like, w h y. Isn't DA supposed to get the news out? Starting out with an opinion like that should go on a podcast or something. I know that people are never truly unbiased but he really shouldn't continue and defend being a douche to other people who try to get him to understand an outsider's pov on the situation.

I bet this is the classic: she wanted them was drunk and stuff happened, then her friend told her omg they raped you, you were drunk so now she has a half true story to work with and needs to make it look worse. But they are also too dumb to get away with it.

Late, but Seriously i genuinely, without a shadow of a doubt, think that people that have actually experienced these things could have talked so leisurely and carefree about the things that happened in that part of their lives, things like that can scar someone for LIFE, and in the way that those two girls came out with their story, it just seems so unbelievable especially because they even shared it through social media. I just have pure respect for people that actually experienced these things and stayed strong through their lives. Can't even imagine going through that. Just stay strong 💪 and remember to never let the things that happened define you, let YOU define YOU. since the issue of proof is brought up a lot, i'm gonna just provide some information which probably won't help anyone lol- if you are sexually assaulted and you don't want to go to the police for whatever reason, go to a hospital or health facility and get a rape kit test done. you do not have to give the rape kit results to the police, but the results should be stored for a while. and, don't take my word for it, but i'm pretty sure the test is free. anyway, these tests provide dna evidence, but that's really just it for the most part. sure, it would still be your word against theirs, but your word would be backed up by dna evidence. honestly, if the situation the girls described was actually true (which i doubt), that's the route that should have been taken.

Seems like this advice would work equally well in creating false accusations in the hands of a manipulative women, but hey all women are pure, right? Each one posses a funky box between their legs and at some point heard the phrase "girls mature faster than boys" yep all pure, just and responsible by default😉
