The Lazax Empire has burned to ash, rejected by its subjects. The aftermath was tragedy and petty conflict in equal measure, a time of loss and exhaustion. In the ensuing Dark Years, the factions of the galaxy retreated and recovered their strength. Now, they look upon the stars and see an opportunity-a chance to reclaim what was lost. A chance to redefine galactic civilization. A chance to leave their mark upon the stars.
Twilight Inscription, an epic roll-and-write game for one to eight players, offers an experience unlike anything Fantasy Flight Games has done before. With a limited pool of resources at your disposal, you’ll need to carefully manage Navigation, Expansion, Industry, and Warfare as you amass victory points and earn your right to the throne on Mecatol Rex. Will your faction become the new rulers of the galaxy? Or will your fledgling empire fade into obscurity? Anything can happen in this strategic, infinitely-replayable game!

5.0 - My absolutely favorite games. You can pry them out of my cold dead hands.
4.5 - Love this game! At the same time missing something that would make it a 5. Could be hard to table, lacking variability, a little light, etc.
4.0 - Really great game, almost always keeping, although has meaningful complaints as to what takes away from the experience.
3.5 - Really enjoyed, don't love it, may lose out to better games but the idea of never playing again is a bit sad.
3.0 - A good game, would play and suggest with the right people, if I never played it again wouldn't lose any sleep.
2.5 - A game I'd play again , but will never suggest it myself
2.0 - A game I don't want to play again
1.5 - A game I can't find any reason to recommend
1.0 - A game that is just bad.

Wow. Did not expect a 4.5 on this one. Love the TI universe so thank you for the review.
When can we expect a TI4 review?
SOMEONE has made an expansion and campaign for this that you can find on the 'variant' section of bgg. It gives some value to leftover resources/votes at end game (a weakness you mentioned), improves full table interaction by allowing you to change neighbours and introduce trading and a fight for mecatol rex. The campaign improve replayability and depth through a series of scenarios (one for each faction)

Oooh good to know
Excellent review. I’m looking forward to playing it even more now.
Pre-ordered! Your rating makes me even more excited.
I’m curious how this compares with Welcome to the Moon. Similar in some ways (multiple boards to explore, space theme, common goal cards) yet are distinct from one another (TI having factions, four boards at the same time, etc)
Thx for the review, would be great if you could include player count again;) Is it good at 2 players?
oh god... I was almost buying it but I was not sure and now I see your review and is really a good game. Maybe next month for September I alreay fill all the slot
Ty for this video!
SLOW DOWN!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Looks fun, but 50+ seems a little crazy for a roll and wright.
Did you play many games of it? Can you comment on the scoring? If it makes sense, if by the end ppl have different scores that represented well your feeling of how well each of you were doing? My only fear is that by the end of the game, all players have "72" points just bc the points closely correlate with just the dice everybode used.
How can you ignore SOLO?
Just picked up a copy. Cant wait to give it a shot

ha.. should have watched till the end
Anyone else think Alex had an earring in his left ear? The "S" in the board game @11:40 kind of messed with my mind a little bit.
The intro overview was…alarming. Do this for this, that for this, we’ve got this now that gives us that and this. This does this. That turns to this. This to that. And we claim this, cross that. Draw lines to this and that and that’s that. I hope the game has more flavor and theme! Never played a roll and write…so theme might not be a big thing for this type of game.

It's a lot of fun...but may not be for everyone.
Hmmm First roll and write for me which sounds a bit interesting.... not sure yet.... But I see a new game on the background: clash of cultures 💪 looking forward for your opinion on that one 😉 not lots of content available. My kind of civ game
Alex…you’ve been saying “a drop” a lot in your recent videos…as in “a drop less intuitive…” I would really prefer if you said “a smidge” …think about it
