Laurence Harrison, As a fellow watch collector I would say that give the strap and available bracelet options that’s quite plausible however as a fellow watch collector I suspect that like me it will become one of your most treasured watches in your permanent collection never to be traded. Then I saw late in the thread that you found an OP. Well done!

Great video Sir Awesome piece. I’ve been looking at this model seriously for some time. Wasn’t at all into this model at first. But as Urban Gentry said It can be a slow release to love it. Actually a visit to my AD once on the wrist that was it.

  • @carlhaluss

Thank You for both your excellent reviews. Although I had planned to see this watch in real life fairly soon, your enthusiasm pushed me to call an AD and look at one yesterday. Result: I left the shop in about 15min. with the watch on my wrist. You are correct. We are talking about Rolex quality, no question. My intention was to get a Rolex Explorer I, which I have tried and really, really do like a lot. But I miss my old 36mm Explorer I, and thought this size more suitable even though I have a 7.5in wrist. I love this watch. It is the only watch I have seen which has the dial characteristics of a diver watch (ie Rolex Sub, Deep Sea, and Tudor Black Bay to name a few), without the rotatable bezel. Exactly what I have been looking for. I love the slightly oversize markers and how they are finished with the beautiful borders. And I am a sucker for the Snowflake hands. The Tudor crest and curved text near the bottom of the dial complete the vintage effect. The bracelet is excellent quality. My AD is also going to order me an extra link at no extra charge. Right now it fits perfectly, but may need the extra link come summer. Currently, mine is running appx. +3secs over 24 hours, which is perfectly acceptable. It may even improve over time. Thanks again, Carl

I have to say that my opinion of the Black Bay 36 is it is simply lovely. Also this comment about the winding stem sticking out to far Well for Me this Not the Case Don't Listen to Other peoples comments check this watch yourself and once you put it on I feel sure you will love it as much as I do. Thanks for the presentation. Torn between the BB36 and an Omega Railmaster Trilogy 57. Both are amazing watches. Hard to decide. An Omega has longer Lug2Lug length, that's what makes the watch wear bigger, and the case is 38mm.

I love the strap on it. Many people think you must have a metal strap but I think a nice leather, croc or gator strap makes the watch. Just purchased a beautiful ostrich strap for a vintage gold Hamilton. Finally, I have a Rolex Explorer and this Watch reminds me of mine. Would be a toss up for me. Mark 👍👏

Great look at the watch. I bought the blue dial version a few months ago on the bracelet from an Ad. I didn't get the camo strap thrown in with the package. I was told it's not Included anymore. I was a bit disappointed but the bracelet is beautifully made so that's no great hardship. I bought this as a stop gap before an Explorer but it's that good a watch I'll now be sticking to this instead. One other feature I love is the Lume, it's amazing.

I have this with the blue dial, on the bracelet. I’m not much of a bracelet guy, but this one is such a little honey on Tudor’s world-class bracelet. Big Steve McQueen squinting at you while drinking coffee in a dirty tee shirt at the racetrack vibes.

Great video and shows the watch well. The B&S cognac is sold out, so have gone for a taupe. I love the simplicity of the dial and prefer the hour markers to that of the Exp1....I sold mine recently as it didn't get much wrist time, but the real bugbear was the numerals on the dial. The BB36 is much cleaner and the aesthetics much more attractive, IMHO. I have a couple of DJ 36mm and find the size perfectly fine. I pick mine up tomorrow and can't wait.

Great video mate! One concern I have before getting the watch is the huge crown, such as when you have it on the wrist, does it rub against your skin and cause discomfort? Also, does the crown unscrew by itself after continuous wear (i.e. rocking back & forth/shaking) on the wrist?

I don’t think it looks wrong proportioned on the case due to the shape of the lugs, does the bracelet feel too narrow? The hamilton, sinn, damasko etc. don’t have the same movement cased in this tudor. Yes, it is ETA 2824-2 but there are different grades of the movement (the lower the price, the lower the grade which basically is the regulation. Lower grade find in 2-500$ watches are adjusted up to two positions not 5 as the highest grade like in this Tudor. Furthermore, Tudor itself had modified the movement replacing some of its components. Is that possible that there are still people that think that there is no difference between Tudor and Hamilton, Tissot etc??? C’mon

Been eagerly awaiting your update to the previous video. I find this watch remarkably striking, in particular at the more modest sizing. I was wondering if you would share your wrist circumference, so that we get a better idea of how this 36mm x 44mm wears? As well, just want to confirm that the lug-to-lug is in fact 19mm? I've read some other posts/reviews that claim 20mm? Tudor does not have any lug-to-lug figures on their Web site. Thanks, much appreciated.

I REALLY like it, however the super-long crown tube really bothers me. No idea, why it's so long! I feel like it's dig into the back of my hand and it also looks lopsided. Also compared to the BB58, with it's in-house movement, this seems like a much worse value for money, considering it's just running a standard ETA movement.

Panda they have a 41mm version for ppl with larger wrists. Like with Rolexss, the lugs on Tudors extend out quite a bit so they wear slightly bigger than the 36mm diameter size indicates.

Yousuf Hasan The hands and indexes seem to be bronze at least they're bronze colored. They all have excellent lume, but I have looked up what they are made of and no info. They may be steel and colored to look bronze. Don't know; however, they look fantastic on the brown dial just a great overall look.
