Cela fait des années que je suis Tuba Skinny sur Internet et vous savez quoi : ils ne m'ont jamais déçu ! Ce formidable orchestre mérite une reconnaissance internationale ce qui est précisément en train de se produire…

Ça fait plus de 10 ans que je les écpute et ce concert est de loin le meilleur au niveau des chansons, des prises de vue et de la sonorité. La voix d'Erika est tout simplement magnifique. Le Québec et les québécois vous attendent. Merci à vous tous.

Great music! And, thanks for Shaye Cohn for keeping Tuba Skinny on track for all these years. I don't think it's any accident that this band is lead by Shaye Cohn and has an international following as well as being among the best if not the finest performing New Orleans jazz band. Dixieland, New Orleans, whatever-you-may-label it, this is American New Orleans-style jazz at its finest. Keep it up!

Shaye Cohn ist eine Frau, lieber Übersetzer - schau Dir doch mal ihre zauberhafte Figur und ihre schönen Beine an: Es ist definitiv kein "er", das seh' ich mit mein magisches Auge. Bin extrem dankbar für den Sound von Tuba Skinny - höre sie täglich, bin Rentner! Sie machen mir das Leben in meinem Altersheim erträglich, was ich von meinen LPs nicht behaupten kann. Grüße an alle Oldtimer Jazzer - habe kürzlich erfahren, dass ABBI leider nicht mehr zu uns dazu gehört, sondern wohl mit King Oliver zusammen im Himmel "Sweet like this " spielt. Wir sehen und hören uns dort wieder. Das ist meine feste Überzeugung. Nur so kann ich hier auf Erden weiter existieren. Ich gehöre keiner Kirche/Sekte an. Swingt weiter Peter

J’ai une pensée pour l’ami Jeff qui filmait beaucoup de concerts comme celui-ci et qui nous a malheureusement quitté des suites d’une longue maladie. Ses témoignages sont précieux et d’un excellent niveau qualitatif.

It's hard to believe that just eight people can make such a full, powerful sound like this. Anyone who has ever played in a band appreciates how difficult it is to sustain a tempo. Shaye starts it off, and they don't seem to deviate one microsecond from her initial tempo throughout the entire number. Tuba Skinny is a fabulous band!

Tuba Skinny must be one of the best live bands in the world. Not an ego in sight. Would love to see them tour Britain.

If I was stranded on a dessert island and I had to pick just one band that I could watch for the remainder of my days at a campfire in some weird dream I'd pick Tuba Skinny no kiddin.

Hope, that You can understand, how much I like this style of playing. Got my first LP disc ever back in the late 50'ties by the name of 'Louis Armstrong and his Hot Fives'. Still have it some where. Greatings from Finland.

Shaye leads with such respect for her fellow musiciens. They look and sound like old friends. Shaye's cornet so reminds me of Bix. How many songs does Erika hold in her head? Making us happy by having fun together. If they ever return to the South of France I want to be there.

@@otpkd have to say though, the three bands named just get on and play, some bands maybe try for a "vintage" look or feel to some extent, which doesn't do much for me. Ironic coming from me I admit, a lifelong R'n'R fan who still tries to look like a fifties rebel at 70. Asking to be shot down I suppose.

Then there’s the Smoking Time Jazz Band. The New Orleans area is worth visiting if it were done only to hear these great “Street Bands”. But there’s so much more to do and see. Oh! And the FOOD 😜

The true Life of this music is gone, those extraordinary musicians allow us to feel deeply what it was but they fail to bring it back to Life just because the community of the original audience with the musicians has disappeared long ago. But thank’s so much to allow us to share , with your in crédible talent those so nice little moment so close to these Ghosts.

I've been listening to this kind of jazz for 75 years that I can recall, and I love Tuba Skinny and Erika's Lonesome Doves. I wish I was still playing. Oh, that Erika!!!! Love her.

I'm 74. When I was four and there-abouts, I used to play my great aunt's wind-up Edison Victrola for hours on end. My favorite song was _At a Georgia Camp-Meeting._ I remember it to this day.

Great sound quality. That gives an idea of how good they really are...incredibly good. That voice of Erika, that tone of Shaye's cornet, the clarinet ... and all the others too. It is perfection combined with heart and soul.

Tuba Skinny is definitely a group of musicians that are destined to be considered, as their history continues to be written, as one of the best jazz bands of all time. Precision musicianship. This video is magnificent. Shaye leads with such a driving and clean horn and all the rest are experts as well. I have been very fortunate to visit them in NOLA.

These musicians are utterly fantastic, they make the hair stand up on my neck. The music is old New Orleans style jazz and blues ,you can sure tell these musicians practiced many hours to get as good as they are ,like they say practice makes perfect.
