    100% right sir We need it but not right now may be after 10 20 years First we need to let it run lumbini and pokhara in its full fledged Building put more debt on citizens not on ministers No Not Now

    Keep on building sub-par low grade airports like Pokhara and Bhairahawa that can't even fit 5 A330s and keep on piling up international traffic in TIA which is already functioning at 2 times it's intended capacity. Kudos to all intelligent "Think tanks" and rajneta politicians of Nepal.

    USA and Europe can talk about Climate change because they already passed industrial era and are developed now but Nepal who haven’t touched industrial revolution yet talking about the climate change is a joke. A small wage workers concern with evening dinner instead of what happens to earth 100 years

    He is true the master plan is to destroy the entire forest area.. Better develope Nepalgunj and Biratnagar as an international airport which will be enough for the time being. ..

    @@romansmusic09 nijgadh still has long air route and full of forest area.better they can develop Nepalgunj airport which is the second busiest airport and if it gets shortest air route from Mahendra Nagar

    I had travelled the entire airports of India and know size of TIA is pretty similar to Rachi airport which is too small.but nijgadh still is not appropriate area

    ko auxa....hub banaunay re..fuel baira bata auxa: compete kasari hunxa no vision vanu paryo:vako jungle nash ta garna vayana ne. hamro airspace ma aunay bato auta desh ma matra nirvar xa. k India le hub banauna dinxa ta....ailay heray hunxa GBIA ko halat...take 25-30 min extra entry point 1ta matra vayara. Rinko var janmada sath 999k purauna khojay ho ke kay ho.

    Nepal need a bigger and proper international airport in terms of safety and regulations, it will increase the passenger flows and more aircrafts can be handled by the airport and it will boost the economy,this airport should have been build decades ago but still no progress because of our people and politicians everyone comes with some excuses.

    What a shame, Mr Economist, after the new verdict of Supreme Court, the airport is being constructed in other area than forest preserved. So what about the forest percentage in Nepal has been rose to almost of 47-50 pct. The narrative of the west to not construct and development is the cost of natural destruction is imbibed in these baby boomers generation. Where these policy makers and thinkers had led the nation to. And these baby boomer thinkers have lost everything to India. If India does this, does that.. transit airport was just a concept. Its so easier to oppose development, even months or year after the final verdict, still people are finding ways to drag down Nijgadh airport. And this futile government has no funds, hope this campaign be dreaded.
