Hi there! I watched your video about the ATR72 taking off from the middle of the runway at Pokhara International Airport and wanted to share some insights on why this might have been the case. While the idea of changing the takeoff point to avoid bird strikes is interesting, it's not a standard aviation practice. Airports and airlines use various strategies to minimize the risk of bird strikes, including habitat management, aircraft design to withstand bird impacts, and adjusting flight operations based on bird activity reports. However, the decision to take off from a specific point on the runway is usually based on factors like runway length, aircraft weight, weather conditions, and performance requirements rather than bird avoidance. The ATR72, like other aircraft, follows stringent safety protocols, and taking off from the middle of the runway without a safety or operational justification would be unusual. The scenario at Pokhara International Airport might have had specific operational reasons behind it. Airports have their own unique challenges and procedures, which can include dealing with terrain, weather, or other local factors that might not be immediately apparent. I understand the importance of engaging content, but as an aviation enthusiast, I encourage you to ensure the accuracy of the information shared with your audience. It's really outrageous for two countries to get into a tug of war due to money fraud and environmental hazards. It destroyed the vision of what the airport could have been and what the airport should be as of now. I really hope the failure is resolved and the feud is subsided so that the airport's future can be repaired. Greetings from the US

▪︎There are seven exit air route points-Bhairahawa and Mahendranagar in the west and Simara, Biratnagar, Tumlingtar, Kakkarbhitta and Janakpur in the east-for aircraft flying out of Nepal. ▪︎Two other entry points over Mechi and Tumlingtar (to the east of Mt.Everest) have been designated for planes coming from Bhutan and Lhasa. But the entry point in Simara is used by the majority of aircraft flying into Nepal and is,therefore congested most of the time. ▪︎The two international airports in Bhairahawa and Pokhara are said to be technically unfeasible without entry routes from the west. ▪︎For example, if a Bhairahawa-bound international flight approaching from the west is not allowed to use the airspace over Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj or Mahendranagar, it has to make a 300-km detour and enter Nepali airspace over Simara. This roundabout route to Gautam Buddha International Airport will raise the operating cost of airlines and make flights costlier. ▪︎International flights to Pokhara will face the same problem. Pokhara-bound international flights from western Nepal will have to cover an additional 185 km in aerial distance if the new cross-border air routes are not opened. ▪︎Nepal requested for an approval of a high-altitude additional air entry route from Mahendranagar since 2009. ▪︎In May 2022 when visiting Indian Prime Minister Modi overflew and did not land in the new international airport in Bhairahawa when he was visiting lumbini. ▪︎India refused to give operating authorisation to Buddha Air to fly to Lucknow from Pokhara saying it was a “diplomatic issue" ▪︎India has been withholding landing permits for Himalaya Airlines to fly to New Delhi since 2015 as it is owned by a Chinese company. India is also clear that it will not buy Nepal’s electricity if a hydro project in Nepal has a Chinese component. The airport’s a similar case. ▪︎These two airports have become victims of geopolitics as Pokhara airport was built with Chinese money and Bhairahawa airport was built by a Chinese firm. The possibility of getting the route is slim if we look at all these geopolitical developments. ●Funfact: India's trade with china last year recorded $136 billion dollars. Narendra Modi while he was Gujarat chief minister, Beijing hosted Modi thrice.On each occasion, he returned with commitments of greater Chinese investment in Gujarat. Modi's bussiness dealings and investment from china was the highest among the indian states. !Conclusion: India can do trade and bussiness with china but nepal is not allowed to do bussiness with china? I sense a double standard hypocrite neighbour that tried to spinoff nepal's relation with china as an insecure approach. Nepal is a sovereign and independent country that have needs and does whats best for its people.

You do what is needed for nepal, we'll do what is needed for India. Don't cry if decisions India takes do not favor your interests. India is spending billions in a stand off with China and India has banned hundreds of Chinese apps and there is no direct flight between India and china. If India can take these measures to curb chinese influence, then don't cry about chinese investments in nepal are not supported by India.

@@amannsharma there is maithili group in terai region of nepal which shares border with Bihar jii. Word like Bhaat, Beeya is the example which matches with bihari language.

@MrSubham100 I was amused that Nepali language has more sanskrit words than any other regional languages in India. It is same like pure Hindi but with a dialect like other regional languages. The Hindi we speak here has words from different languages that's why person from other regional languages easily understands it. Like I live at Mirzapur district of UP and we speak mixture of Awadhi Bhojpuri and Bagheli and so many words from these languages are spoken in Hindi . Does whole Nepal speaks Nepali or have other regional languages in your Nepal ?

@@amannsharma In general we speak Nepali and everyone knows Nepali language all over the Nepal and we do have regional languages based upon caste group. Like i am from Newar community we speak Newari language at home like wise there are lots of other language like Maithili, Tharu, Limbu, Gurung, Magar etc.

The problems aside, I don't think the Airport was built without proper fesibilty study. Now CAAN must bring in international flights in pokhara.Before Indian Businessman like adani and others takeover our nations torurism hub, Nepal government must quickly take proper action. Now days we don't have youths who wants to change. As a young guy who wants change and love his country. we must be aware, need to raise our voice. Voice of youths in a civilized and pressuring way. Nowdays youths are running away from problems and few staying here are either dependent on the traditional politics or don't have time for it. But young voices must be raised. We must raise voice against corruption and Take our local administration seriously from our own cities,and villages. Long live Nepal.

You know why? Cause India isn't giving Nepal government air route, whatever has to be done from Nepal and Chinese side is complete. If India truly cared of Nepal-India alliance then it would be given air route but as one famous Nepali political analyst said India will always want to keep Nepal poor so it will under be under it while China Nepal to be rich to it can be independent from India. This is true face of India!
