Yep. Reagan deregulated in the 80’s and then we had to bail out the Savings and Loans. Bush deregulated in his term, and then we had the 2008 Major bank failures and crisis. Trump deregulated banking in 2018, and now we are having failures again. Anybody seeing a pattern here?

Glad to learn about your experiences. I've never owned any donkeys, although I'd love to if I had the right property, but for some reason I've always had a natural rapport with them, both domestic and wild. I didn't know this until they started coming up to me in the wild desert and on ranches. They've always been very friendly, social and affectionate toward me, rubbing their necks and muzzles all over me. They can also be real chatterboxes when they're excited or enthusiastic about something. I don't have that kind of rapport with horses, but feel blessed that donkeys and I click so well. Anyway, I had the same thought about the male donkey playing the roll of Jenny on the Oscars show. He looked super relaxed and seemed to be enjoying himself.

So PETA probably had no exact knowledge of this particularly American tradition and assumed hard boiled eggs were being used. But it's patently obvious that Jimmy and none of the Show's crew didn't actually themselves know of their own county's tradition - otherwise it would have been addressed in his monologue.

Most people probably do know that they are eating unfertilised eggs - though in far eastern countries fertilised pickled eggs are eaten. Plus the chickens eaten are mostly male - that's why the French say Coq au vin. 2:11 Normally, I might agree with PETA, but the animals certified for emotional support are animals that have shown they enjoy new environments, and enjoy attention from humans. Yes, the stage was different; yes, the crowd in the seats was different; but unless there were flashing lights, or extremely loud, surprising noises (other than the applause-I doubt s/he enjoyed that), I do not believe a certified animal companion would have been afraid. (I hold 2 degrees in psychology, and did a lot of animal behavior stuff. It is not my field, but I love and respect animals, and their natural behaviors.) Even if a/he is an animal “actor”, s/he would not be viable for live work, if s/he did have an issue with the environment. I agree that they should not have done it, but I disagree that the donkey was terrified.
