Your explanation was clear and while I don't know the exact cause at this point of the F90 error on my oven, getting in there and poking around at the different components somehow resolved the problem. Thanks Sears! I truly hope you leave these videos on here for future reference.

Don’t sit here and take your over apart: see if this works! 1. The door was locked shooting off that error F90 & some dr_00 2. I let it cool down didn’t fuss with it. 3. I hit the “Timer on/off” button and held it for a couple seconds (just for the hell of it.) and then I hit the OFF/hold button. And it literally just unlocked. It worked for me! I hope it works for you and I hope the directions make sense. Lol

I don’t have an off/hold button 😢

While old, in my case the lock was rusted. Since I never use the self lock feature, I cut the rod at the back since it was under tension with angle grinder. I plugged it back in and the motor went back to its limit position. You may even be able to detach the limit switch and the oven should work fine.

A simple unplugging and plugging back in did the trick to fix the F90 error code on our oven. The lock was extended and would not retract. When we plugged it back in, the motor reset its cycle.

F90 is a door lock code, Try this... unplug the range. wait 1 minute. turn the range back on, then while holding in on the oven door. start another self clean. wait 2 minutes. then cancel the self clean. do not release the door until the door lock light goes out.

F90 randomly showed up when I was just trying to preheat. This trick worked on my Frigidaire.Thank you!

My stove was giving me this error, it sounded like the motor was trying to turn the cam but it just kept buzzing, I unscrewed the the screw ontop of the cam and it basically bypassed the error and it went away. Oven is now working fine after going forever without it. Hope this helps!

Nice job and thanks. We were lucky, my F90 code was a wire off the door switch. Phew, because 5 years ago I did have to replace the control board because it quite working.

Hey! thanks for the video. Is there any method to only eliminate the error code and keep using the oven normally? (without changing any part) I mean, just delete the error code from the mainboard. I used to use the oven with no troubles until I started the self-clean mode.

On most ranges, the error code will remain on the display and the oven won't work until you replace the failed part. There's no way to just delete the error code from the mainboard. We recommend that you replace the failed part or have a service technician repair the range before using the oven again.

Manufacture reset fix everything, it took me only 4 houres and a broken finger to find the damn sequence to reset that to factory. With F90, F91, F92, F95 and F96, remove back panels. Unplug the module, if the engine starts moving, open the door as soon as possible. Play with the door switch by hand and use the clear and clean buttons. Watch the cam on the motor for on and off position for alf way and full turn position. Hold door switch, push clear button then push clean. Motor will start turning. Release door button alf way then push to closed position 'till full rotation. Release door button, stop clean. Now that fu#%ing "door locked" stop flashing and you can use your oven.

A wiring failure or a bad electronic oven control board could be causing that problem. Unplug the range and check wiring connections on the back of the electronic oven control board--especially the black and white wires. Reconnect any loose wires. If wiring connections are okay, you'll likely need to replace the electronic oven control board. We hope this information helps. Yes. On Kenmore 790-series and Frigidaire ranges, the F9 code is the same as the F90 code. Check the oven door lock circuit as shown in the video. If you need more help, give us more details about the range problem and let us know the model number of your range.

Ok so mine shows f11 and then after a couple mins it shows f90 so I'm assuming the control board is faulty and can't control the door well anymore

Check the range indication on your meter. The meter is likely indicating that it's indicating kOhms (2.000 X 1000 ohms). If your meter is actually measuring only 2 ohms through the door lock motor then the motor is likely defective. If you need more help, let us know the model number of your range and additional details about the failure that you're troubleshooting.

The motor makes sounds like it wants to unlock but the switch doesn’t move. Please help

Unplug the range and disconnect the rod from the door lock motor cam. Check for binding of the rod and latch hook. If the rod and latch hook aren't bound up, then you may need to replace the door lock motor assembly. If the rod and latch hook are bound up, push in on the oven door and see if the latch unhooks from the door. If it does, then you may need to adjust or replace the door hinges. How to bypass?

There's only one scenario which you can bypass, and that's if the motor has failed but the micro switch is good. The switch is responsible for relaying locked/unlocked, therefor you can manually position the cam to the unlocked position. Unplug the stove for at least 2-3mins for reset, and obviously do not use self-clean again!

nobody does front motor door locks anymore?

F95 Error Code on a Kenmore Elite Convection Stove. Oven starts to heat and stops before reaching requested temperature or stops during cooking process. Not good for baking cakes. Can anybody help?

The F95 code on that type of range typically indicates that the electronic oven control board detects a problem with the oven door lock assembly. @@searspartsdirect Our Model C970-440033 was purchased in June 2010. Oven door lock/unlock functioning properly when I last did a 2 hour cleaning process on December 15th, 2019. BROIL function worked properly for a 45 minutes test WITHOUT F95 ERR popping up. HOWEVER, before and after the December cleaning exercise, the oven problem of stopping at odd times before reaching requested temperature OR during a baking period was still present. ALSO, the lighting function on the electronic oven board is a faded blue on the left-hand side of the electronic clock and 2 small faded red vertical lights are ALWAYS lit on the right-hand side of the clock. I sincerely hope the electronic oven control board is the solution to fix this because everything else works just fine. Thank you for any advice or pratical help.

If you hold down the light button the door pushes when closed and hit start It will clear the door lock error code. At least it worked on mine.
