I grew up in Covington GA where they filmed the original Dukes of Hazard. We would watch them rebuild the General Lee cars in about an hour and do another stunt. They had about 15 of them in a lot for stunts and parts.
Bruh I love Baldwin for just being ballsy behind the wheel regardless of what area he's driving in
I miss the days of Recoil with BJ! Glad to see him back, hopefully we get another sequel soon.
I mountain bike on the trails that start/finish near where the jump at 17:00 minutes in takes place. Near trails called Bear's Best in Las Vegas.
Professional Grizzly Puncher! Helluva credential. Lol
Smokey and the Bandit made me a life time T/A owner. I have had several 2nd gens a 3rd gen ( my Knight Rider car } and a 4th gen. I like the scene in Dukes of Hazzard when Bo has his meltdown at Cooter's garage after they get the car back from the construction site. every gearhead in the audience was feeling it. Love your gentlemen. More please. I just thought of something funny. The range master is confronted by bigfoot over the bigfoot target that could be funny. thanks again for your work.
I have a 66 Chevy C10 and I upgraded the suspension motor, tranny and brakes and it looks like an old truck and some of the old body panels have passed their prime but having a modern drive line it is very cool to be cruising on the highway at 80 like a new car.
I've been racing dirt track 30 yrs I started with a 69 charger painted like the general it sucked for racing, The 78 trans am factory was great and the 70's Gran Torino excellent, the past 20 yrs I've raced super late models 1200 hp
Caleb looks like Ben Foster REALLY let himself go. Great vid, guys. And really enjoyed the Jessica Simpson appreciation.

@SuperSecretSquirell Sorry. He's pretty method, so just imagine he's going for an Oscar caliber role after "The Whale" did so well.
Baldwin so pumped your back and doing well super exited to see more Content with you in it .
The Duke of Hazard clip is one of my favorite driving sequences!
Caleb sittin there with shiny legs...heh
Love all the veterans react videos but the technical insight into driving was fascinating.
Didn’t Rhys Mullen drive the General Lee? Mr Baldwin referenced Tanner Foust

I was thinking the exact same thing, Tanner was given a lot of credit for the driving that Rhys did in the film.

My thoughts too, imdb has Tanner credited, but I'm sure on the DVD extras they had Rhys driving

Love this! Thank guys 😁❤
The chargers in the Dukes of hazzard were all chrysler engines 318s, 360s and a few 440s. I doubt that they put money into the suspension to do a simple Rockford. Rockfords are easily doable in 70s cars lol

I'll side with the professional
Baldwin is the s*** Y'ALL!!! I'm so glad to see him back in the spotlight and doing so well for him and his family 💪🏻🤘🏻❤️🌮
Lol, did Caleb have a Llama harnessed in, riding with him? Or Alpaca, I couldn't tell 🤣
My dream car is a GTO or a SS beautiful sounding cars
JT and Caleb commentary on spy movies or just about anything!! Those two together are comedy gold!!
The stunt driver in the Bandit bridge jump hurt his neck pretty bad on landing.
Back in 93 I did one of those dukes of hazard jumps in a 78 buick lesabre with a built 430 under the hood. Folded that car up like a taco shell when it hit the ground. Bent the steering wheel with my head so hard it ripped the whole column out of the mounts. I don't recommend trying it.
great stuff as always! yous should check out 12'o clock high movie and Bullitt
I love Bj Baldwin but he was off on the Dukes of Hazzard movie. #1...Rhys Millen did the stunt driving, not Tanner Foust #2...They used 68-69 Chargers #3...All the Chargers had Chrysler engines, 318, 383 and 440's, not LS based engines #4...The suspension systems under the Chargers was beefed up factory suspension utilizing the torsion bars in the front and the leaf springs in the rear, not tuned coilover suspension
YOOOOO 13:33 ITS AK JESUS!!!
Caleb has MONSTER legs.
I absolutely love BJ Baldwin's K5 Blazer. I have one and would love to have his setup. #KB43VER can't go wrong with the Hoonicorn and Hoonitruck.
Anybody else get a KZread ad for another brand of coffee during this video? lol
Excellent video and interaction
No ls powered general lees were used in the dukes movie
Rhys millen did most of the dukes of hazzard stunts and the cars were for the most part stock 318 autos except for the jump cars
I could have sworn it was rhys millen that was doing a good bit of that driving in the dukes of Hazzard
ok, 1st, its a bloody mopar, it has a fracking hemi in it. not an lsx which is a gm pos. 2nd while they did "beaf up" the suspension, the general still has oem style suspension under it. when you put things like anti roll bars and poly bushes in, the body roll tends to go down some. that thing still has leaf spring rear suspension in it. not coil overs or anything like that. it still had its drum brakes and everything.
I thought this was a Trophy Trucker Driver Reacts, not a master class in stunt driving. Either way, BJ Baldwin was awesome to listen to.
Without any restrictions, I wonder how much faster could race trucks could be? They really should have a truly unlimited class of all types of racing. What is called unlimited today still has a ton of rules. The only rule needed is that it can't truly fly, so it doesn't turn into an airplane race since that would truly be the fastest way to get to the finish line.

Limit for cars in general isn't the engine and gearbox, those you can always make stronger, but grip of rear tires to keep accelerating you against airdrag that keeps slowing you down. Racing slicks will get you more grip if on tarmac. Next bottleneck is airdrag, you'll need bodywork like Charger Daytona to reduce drag and use airflow to press rear wheels harder to road. Final bottleneck (for now) is endurance of tires, they need to survive inertia created by them spinning, and at 500km/h you can imagine they spin fast. For throphy trucks specifically, you'll also need to keep them controllable enough on rough terrain to make split-second response to unexpected happening, which happens a lot in off-road racing. Sponsors don't like fatal accidents, this is what killed Rally Group B in 1986.
I don't know all the builds on the stunt cars in the movie Dukes of Hazzard but to my knowledge none of them had any LS platform engine in them. From what I've seen they had Big Block Mopars (383 engines seems to be used with many of them). That car doing the drifting does NOT have coil overs. It has stock mopar Torsion bar suspension, hydarulic hand brake, 4 speed manual tranmission, and reinforcements/ full roll cage. Even Richard Petty used the Torsion Bar suspension on his NASCAR cars.
And BJ has beautiful eyes! Wow.
Driver Abbey Eaton, from Amazon's The Grand Tour, broke her back in a race car after going over a relatively small bump! I can't imagine trying to pull that bridge jump in a stock car today!
The charger in the remake had a some kind of Hemi in it I can't remember the displacement all I know is it was a built Dodge Hemi
I couldn't care less about racing generally, but holy shit. I am beyond impressed with BJ's driving. I know he's been rocking with yall awhile but damn. That Recoil 3 was nuts!
Lol! You should have lived in Alaska in the 80tys. Been there done that.
Rhys millin drove the general lee mostly
And 2005 dukes of Hazzard one General Lee had a 426 and in the rest they used 440's 383's and 318's
off road racing in the General lee would be so epic.
On the jump through the Tacoma Dome didn't have far to go to the hospital to straight up the hill
Reminds me of night shift on the North End 😂.
Ooo man, Jessica Simpson was as fiiiine as candy in that movie (trying to keep it subtle here) makes me want to see that movie again
The dukes of hazard one was probably a charger body on a crown vic frame

I think that practice was done on Chargers brought out for jump events and what not. The jumps in the Dukes of Hazzard movie were so extreme that they just used a ratty Charger fixed up just enough and launched it off an air ramp with no one on board.
This is my favorite react… Bj: Was scared about not giving it enough gas to jump her, so many g forces, I’ve put a lot of work into this truck. Caleb: I like Jessica Simpson
wish they would have shown the true dukes of hazzard.
Caleb, the ultimate pro. two tries to hit a guy in the face with cookies
Finally, Drifting & Guns come together.... My 2 favorite things in the world! Cars and Guns - that's America 🇺🇸 Now if you guys Sponsored Vaughn Gittin jr... Have the BRCC Logo on the side of that Mustang Killing Tires in Formula D 😊
If you pause it when the suspension is completely G’ed out on his trophy truck, it looks like a nascar truck. It’s crazy how low that thing can get.
Horsepower in cars is a quandary. You can have 400 hp at the tiers and run 11 second 1/4 and up it to 800 hp only to shave off 2 seconds.
@douglaslorin739

It also depends on the transmission, final drive, suspension, etc. Most modern sports cars can do the quarter mile within the 10 sec range and to get into the 9s isn't too expensive. After that, the costs go up sharply.
Richard, when are you going to start shooting stuff again?
episode with travis ?
You guys are awesome. 👌 Badass videos.😊 but can we see more jariko denman, please he should be in the odd sense. 😏
Review "Dust to Glory". They show the Baja 1000.
Dukes of Hazzard was filmed here in Louisiana. I know most of those locations and that jump scene.
I was hoping to see Dax Shepard's movie Hit And Run and his badass Lincoln Continental.

Oh yeah! 🏎️
Dukes Of Hazzard I like the original 1979-1985 and Smokey And The Bandit 1977 plus Christine 1983 are my favorites but old cars are built way better mid 80s and under are best
Nice.
"it was cool to go 140 on that bridge".... yeah, it is.
Ok in the "Dukes of Hazzard" 1st they show under the hood during the General Lee reveal. Obviously a 426 Hemi crate engine 2nd Reese Millan, world champion drifter was piloting the car for the "drift" scene around the circle...Just saying do a little research before nitpicking things apart. Not difficult to do.😏
Not big on racing, but I have enough gear heads in the family to follow.
I'm still unclear if demo ranch is over😢. It makes me sad just thinking of it
Rhys Millen was the stunt driver for dukes of hazard not tanner Foust.
No vanishing point 1971?
Great Work
You know? If you Work with Cars at all you know that the General Lee is a 69 Dodge Charger...

No Frankenstein Charger/Crown Vics were used in the movie. That practice came much later. Plus the movie was made in 05/06. Getting some junkyard 68/69 Chargers wasn't too expensive and no one was on board when they were jumped.
I believe they actually buried cardboard boxes and an air bag for the trans am to land on.
That’s awesome that y’all took them WWII veterans up!!
Now i want to see Ken block react to dukes of hazard. Oh yeah. 😢
Thanks all 3 of you for the video
What happened to Fullmag, Ryan??
Rhys Millen.
Made me think about when I was younger, I punched a Buffalo . Not many people have .
❤️👍🏻🥃🇺🇸
A stock charger from 1969 wouldn't have a enough power to carry through most of the stunt work that was done and the body roll would be horrendous
🔥
@6:18 me too buddy… meeeeeeee tooooo 😂😂😂😂
no trophy... im only 46
The new ken block
Tanner Foust or Brian Deegan would be cool to see on here.
Awesome
I know 7 drivers in the industry off top of my head that will drive circles round Tanner. He IS GOOD but more hype than skill
As the owner of a 70 Charger it hurts my soul when I see Chargers getting wrecked. ;-) Anywho, yeah nah, the whole drifting in the Dukes of Hazzard movie and anything precision driving I promise you that those cars probably have something like Magnum Force k frame/suspensions under them. The original torsion bar suspension and steering are sloppy at best compared to todays cars. Road feel is non-existent. The original power steering is so over powered that it's easy to over correct. Even with sway bars and heavy shocks body roll is crazy. You don't steer through curves you plow through them. Especially big block cars. Baldwin is a master in that trophy truck. Been to a lot of offroad races and love watching those drivers go to work. Truly phenomenal.
How u not react to death race best of both worlds lol
ok i am watching the john schneider movie, and i loved the advertisement for black rifle coffee
$26/gallon!? Jesus Christ! Do thoes things run on unobtamium? I just got out of the aviation industry and Jet A is only about $8/gallon.
And Caleb Francis 😂
Next time Ronin.
As good as a driver Faust may be, I've heard lots of stories about what he's actually like. Dude doesn't respect cars, their history, their character and sentimental value. Check out his co presenters talk about him on TopGear

Vinwiki has a video from the guy that provided a lot of the cars for the cheap car challenges on American Top Gear. Tanner is apparently kind of a prima donna dick. The cars were part of the payment to the car coordinator, but Tanner completely destroyed his on purpose.
Veterans react to Submarine movies??
Rhys Millen did a lot of the driving. Just saying.
17 more chargers died for this movie
