You can get a proper sized exact C.O.A.L. piece of brass of the caliber you are working with that does NOT require sizing or trimming and place that in the press, ram it up into the die, bring the trimmer down to where its touching the proper sized brass and lock it in. Now you know the depth and trim length will be correct as long as the reference brass you used is correct. Now you can start trimming the brass that needs trimming.
