I chamber check my reloads by taking the barrel out of my gun and plunk testing the rounds. Great video!!!

Those Remington brass jacketed HP bullets are good performers, in my experience. They are getting kind of scarce for hand loaders these days. I'm with you - a leisurely pace on a progressive press allows you to pay more attention to details and feel what the press is telling you. Nice vid.

Great video Eddy. I like how you do things slowly so folks can see them. The only thing you did not mention is where the case gets the new primer, which I believe is at station number 2 on that Hornady press. I have a Hornady press myself, but it's a single stage outfit so I do one thing at a time for the whole tray of brass, powder, and bullets. Also, I was happy to see that you do the bullet seating and crimping in two separate stages. That's what I do too since I like to use the factory crimp die that Lee makes after I have all the bullets seated to the proper depth. The only other thing I do that you did not show is I use my Wilson pistol max gage to verify that the cartridges I've made will chamber in any .380 ACP pistol. Thanks for sharing!

I have been more successful with reloading if I prime on a seperate machine, a RCBS primer, I think it helps move the reloading along better if done this way, especially when making a video. Eddy

You should be visually checking each case for powder and you can bye a led light for your press so you can easily see the power level in the case

I have 4 different 380"s and plunk the barrel on everyone of them before I make a run. The chambers are all different and some times the bullet hits the lands before it seats so I load to the length that fits all of them.

thanks for the good information. i am new to shooting .380 . i own a bersa 380 cc for concealed carry. i am thinking of reloading because the supply has dried up. i live in the phila. pa. area. the prices have gone through the roof on all ammo if you can even find it. $45. a box some places. i know my initial cost will be hi but i will know that i will all ways have a good supply i think that those who reload on you tube should show or comment on the guns the ammo will be used in. thanks for your time

Hey Eddie. I want to load .380 once used shells with Accura 100 gr. RN bullets. I can't find this grain in my Lyman book. Do you know what powder I should use and what primers I can use? I have CCI 500, a few Winchester WSP and some Remington 1 1/2 small pistol too. I have Titegroup, Unique, and bullseye. I can't find the loading instructions for this 100 grain Round Nose Bullets from Accura. Any advice will be appreciated. Yes, first time for this .380.

Your right. .380 Takes .355 dia. Bullets. .356 may work if they're not to tight in the chamber. I've never tired it to see. Now in a cast bullet which is almost always bigger in diameter .356 would be proper.

I reload my 380's to an OAL of .975 and they work fine. Do your rounds cycle okay? Unless you are using an absolute maximum powder charge, the slight increase in pressure should not make a difference.
