I have been loading a 300 win Mag for about 40 years. Best luck with IMR 4831 with 150 to 168 gr bullets. And H4831 with 180 and 200gr bullets.

Very nice video, I have a 300 win mag and I was looking possibly reload a little bit, however I'll have to get a single stage press and I'm kind of having a hard time finding brass bullets and primers. And instantly I just live over here at Dangerfield not that far from gilmer thank you for your time.

To dollar1776, Thanks for the comment, Remember it does not take a big shop to produce good ammo. Good & great shooting ammo comes from reloaders who take the time clean, size, trim, and weigh the best powder for your projectile. Tip: In your reloading books the first powder listed is the best powder and continues down the column in order. Probably not much difference between the first 5 listed. Eddy

Good tip to check loaded cases with flashligh! I handload 300 magnums up here in Alaska for hunting..I use IMR4381 or Reloader 22 with 180 gr Barnes TTSX and 200gr Barnes LRX. I also use a single stage press...RCBS JR2 from 1972.

Thats a neat little contraction. The thing measures out your powder charge for you.

So not trying to be negative but have questions as to why you didn’t trim case length or clean off case lube prior to repriming and adding powder?

Nice relaxing video I prefer using a hand priming tool but that’s just me, don’t matter really but I find if there’s an issue like an especially loose primer pocket you’re more likely to feel that difference with the hand tool. Enjoy your videos. This is not the sort of thing one should ever do in a hurry and you exemplify that

I use a hornady automatic powder measurer. It is very accurate, quick to trickle out and weigh within 1/10 of a grain. I use several powders, varget, 3031, and Bl(C)1 most powders will perform well, but I really like these. Eddy

I know I'm late on this subject bit aren't those powders a little fast for the 300 win I always used things in the 4831 and up range have really liked the rl22 and 23 25 7828and things of that burn speed but I'm sure it's what you like more than anything

For some reason, my neck tension is terrible with these. The damn bullet can be pushed in if I push against my bench. I have no idea what the issue is.

For checking powder level, just take pencil(or just round stick) and insert it into casing. You can color it to see if it's at right depth :) Much quicker and more reliable to see powder level differences.

MrVolodus good idea to visually inspect each charge... cutting corners for the sake of a minute or two never a good idea... what if the hopper had residual powder from a previous loading session... safety first...

How accurate is that load? Got a friend of mine that complains about his 300wm. I loaded some Berger 185 juggernaut with RL22 and he still complains. These 150s should shut him up.

The heavier the bullets, the more the recoil....Also depends on what the barrel is cut to as in "bullet jump."
