Trick and technique to wrapping a rear bumper solo (carbon fiber vinyl wrap)
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
This video will help you if you're struggling to wrap your rear bumper. In my opinion the rear bumper requires more effort when stretching the film across and can be tricky when doing it on your own.

@@marcwebber909 you will not be disappointed. Some pointers if youre not in the Toronto area... It's hot, wear lose breathable clothing. It's expensive, being from Florida we hit all of the tourist attractions so of course I spent more than need be. Traffic sucks. Make sure your rental's navigation is set to allow toll roads. Its the quickest way to the shop. Expect major traffic when leaving the shop for the day. I stayed 12 miles away and it took 1.5 hours to get back sometimes. Mainly due to accidents which were a daily occurrence. We didn't exchange our american dollars either. Hope this helps.

I think its quite incredible that while being a shop that specializes in this work, and makes a living off of this expertise. You still make a video to teach others and share this knowledge. Thank you for being that way.

Great job love the video very informative
Gonna be honest, I have no want to wrap anything on my car except my roof and hood; but I watch you just because I love your attitude, not sure if you put on a show for the KZreads, but from what I can see you're a great guy and I really enjoy just watching your videos.
I was in the sign business for 30 years and retired about 15 years ago. Watching you work with today's materials is terrifying for me because the materials we had would have been ruined in about 5 seconds if we did anything like this. I'm in complete awe.
Wrapped my own car and saved $1000s. Definitely not as easy as CK makes it look but if it’s definitely doable if you have patience and can follow the steps he provides in his videos. Best wrap channel in the world.
Great video. I like how you removed it and then redid it. Shows everyone that if they don't get it the first time they can always pull it off and try again
Great effort. I used a similar technique on my amuse s2000 previously. Its a must, if its a solo job. Good luck to all soloists.
The race ramps idea is so great! :O!
I just discovered this gentleman but he’s amazing. I’ve learned a lot about wrapping from him. I’m planning to start vehicle wrapping practice tomorrow and then start making money after learning
I just finished my first wrap. It was a camaro hood. I watched you do the same hood several times but not even watching it 100 more times would not have prepared me for this task. What takes you 20 minutes took me 3 + hours. What you do so effortlessly, I struggled with. each step became an exercise is salvaging what I could so it doesn’t look so horrible I have to take it off. But, it’s my car and it’s not a show car so I’m okay with my first attempt. I learned a lot and if it wasn’t for you and your videos, it would have been so much worse. I’m not quitting though and with each new wrap, I will get better with your help.I wanted to thank you for the videos you publish and the knowledge you share. You’re an awesome human being! Thank you so much!

Lol same, I just did my RSX's trunk using only CK's videos. Can only get better, going to be redoing the bottom portion of trunk, top portion is good. Had a ton of little creases along the edges.
My vynal wrap shop Ruthless liveries would not exist without you!
Looks like you're having a good time again! Awesome video, love the energy 👍🏾
This was a great refresher for me. Took the work shop a few weeks ago beginning of July so happy I did. Anyone wanting to learn I suggest you sign up no regrets. Christian is as real as it gets. Amazing person.
Your so talented bro... wish I can get my car wrapped by you. Keep up the good work
Great job Christian, I was thinking maybe you could have an apprenticeship program where someone would work with you for a week or so and he may even pay for it. It could be a win-win for both of you

Great video! Chickened out on a Subaru Crosstreck rear bumper yesterday, was down to my last piece of wrap. Lol. Your workshop was amazing, well worth the time and money.
Beautiful job Christian!! Awesome tips... I am starting to get your wrap philosophy!!
He has a true passion for what he does. I wish you did more than when it comes to the body of a car or even a bumper when it comes to a car or any car for that matter. You seem like you would be a great teacher when it comes to a car period. You seem like you know exactly what you're talking about. But I would love to learn other techniques when it comes to working on cars. Like there is so much I really don't know yet and I'm just being honest but I love watching your videos and I like hearing what you have to say. I hope you keep posting more and more videos of different techniques when it comes to cars. You're awesome dude!!
Thank you thank you thank you... you have no idea how much your input helps people all over the world.. kudos to you brother.. 👍
Another successful educational wrapping video, thanks for all the information you give to everyone here
I wrapped a front bump on a c7 about 3 weeks ago. Man! I get most of the my knowledge from you!! I respect you man!! From Phx AZ with love.
Thanks for all the videos Christian. DIYed my wife's Toyota Vios following all your tips and tricks.
You make it look so easy, that's pure talent.
I've been subscribed to your Channel for a while now Christian, it's by far the most detailed and informative channel on the web. I'm currently in the early stages of my wrapping career and have opened a shop offering component wraps and window tints on the weekends. At times it's daunting but every time I come across an issue or feel like I want to give up I find myself back here. Your channel really does keep me going when times are hard and now I'm producing some great work! I'm based in the UK but would love to visit Canada and attend one of your courses one day. Please keep up the great work and amazing content as the help you've given me and so many other is priceless! All the best!
Thank you, very clear and informational! I am going to try and wrap myself and I think your videos helped me a bunch in preparation.
You a really cool. Thank you for the best wrap videos I have watched.
Mainne aap k bahoot saare videos dekhe hai. Or aap k videos se kaafi kuch sikhne ko milta hai. Thank you aap k videos k liye. Or agar possible ho aap k liye to hindi me videos bhi banaiye. Usse kaafi aasani hogi mujhe samajhne k liye.

Great job....nice explanation
thanks for the help!
I did this True R on my hellcat hood, roof, and trunk. I'm no pro, it seems a bit harder to stretch than say Avery, but MAAAANNNN it is the best looking carbon I've ever seen.
Nice job!
Christian, I have always loved the carbon fiber wraps. The vinyl just keeps getting better. I missed you sweating. I believe you that you were. Could you please do that wrap 4 more times so we can see you dripping sweat ? Ü I'm old enough to remember complaining about how cold this past Winter was. But this heat...damn, it sucks your energy right out of you. 50's and 60's next week. Unreal. Great wrap. My best, Scott P.S. LOL @ one dislike. Cracks me up. " What didn't you like about this video, Sir / Madam ? " Dislike: " I didn't like the way he.....he.....er, OK !!!!!! I really liked the video, but yanno, I have to be that 'there's always one in every crowd' person. " I need a way to dislike the disliker. P. S. S. Christian went over the Canadian side of Niagra Falls in a ball of vinyl ! Disliker: " Yeah, but I don't like the vinyl he used to do it. "
I've no clue how you make this look easy solo! I've done wrapping solo and it was painfull to say the least! Also cocked up my jeep srt8's wk1 rear taillights recently haha Shame as well it was good tint from vivvid
I've watched a few of your videos with no intention of wrapping anything 😄 but I feel like a professional now js
Good job
So helpful. Ty
good job ....
The wrap goat 🔥
acompanho seus videos aqui do brasil..muito bom
Where did you learn this all from? I'm very curious because you have the best videos on KZread I have seen so far. My Stepdad didn't do anything like this in a garage when it came to him working on vehicles. He did you know the basics when it came to a car nothing like this not from what I remembered growing up. None of this stuff really interested me back then but this looks more fun to learn and what not. Like I said in my one comments on one of your other videos. My Stepdad can take a whole car apart and put it back together. He has worked on cars for years. I've seen him work on I don't know how many cars growing up but usually always busy in the garage. You're like him you don't stop you keep going until the job is done the way it should be.
You should wrap a 80's cutlass/Monte Carlo/Regal's roof. This is something I'd like to see done in one piece. Cause the rear quarter panel connects to it.
Great videos! I am changing from a chromed accent to a blackout theme on my 2500 Silverado. Seems pretty simple but I have chrome step up bars on the sides. Can you wrap these and if so, how would you do the seam which I would assume you would want on facing towards the inside?
Love your videos! I'm on the verge of wrapping my Audi Q5 after months of watching and learning from you. Any advice for a Q5 front bumper would be helpful! (it looks quite intimidating tbh) Keep up the good work and THANK YOU!!!
Good stuff man! I bet you're a beast at wrapping when you don't have to record and narrate everything for us.
I just screwed up my bumper so bad lol this is helpful gonna have to use a new 8 foot piece ripppp
When you do the wrap do you have the room hotter to help the wrap Can I work in a garage and have few blow heaters working
Do you have a video about wrapping the bumper on the new Tacoma? I tried myself after watching a couple of your videos but it digno turn out the best, I struggled with the top around the curves.
Would you have to put a inlay piece on the top on the bumper where the trunk closes? Or would the original piece that covers the bumper just lay over it?
I have been watching your video on vinyl wrap, your good. I have been wanting to do this on my 2018 F 150 front bumper.. My question is can i do three peaces in stead of one. And still look good can;t tell wear you end and start ?
Will the vinyl wrap work over a metal bumper ? First remove the rust spots and work around the rear bumper sensors on dodge ram 1500 truck .
Nice Nike’s!!!!
You are awesome I love your videos. I was wondering where do you get your wrapping vinyl from ? I would love to do some wrapping to my car.
I want to wrap my hatch deck lid on my 17 civic. Can you do something similar?
Hi ck. I was wondering is it the same process to wrap a car with anti-glare material?
I'm gonna wrap my 453 smart Fortwo, it's pretty flat. Do you have an intense safety green you recommend? I can only find oracal
I do the palm under the viynle technique when I have to but i always seem to get lint under neath where my hand was it's not noticeable on Matte or satin wraps but on gloss my ocd starts messing with me. I don't know how to keep my hand free of lint even when I wipe it.
Can you do a video on how to wrap a bumper diffuser with the shark fins please?
Hey Christian, loveee your channel. Been bengals watching trying to learn. I want to wrap my Toyota FJ Cruiser. I’ve done the handles which sucked and now trying the rear bumper corners. Soooo many edges. Any advise for getting it done? I wish I could attach a pic. Also for deep inset key holes, any tricks to getting the film in there without over stretching? Thanks man!
Muito bom
I am considering doing a DIY wrap on the rear and front bumper of my 2006 Chevy Duramax. Is there a brand of vinyl wrap you recommend to color match? It's a Silver Birch color.
I can't use magnets on my aluminum and plastic bodied Audi TT. Will have to tape it down I guess. Great video as always, Thank You!
Beginner here! What about a trip to the UK for a wrapping course? It’s taken me 2hrs to wrap my first door 🙈
As soon as you said it’s hard than the front bumper I wanna die right now lol. I’m doing a diy wrap since I have all the CoronaVirus free time “working from home” 😂🤣😂
outta curiosity, do you think that using the autoskins bumper pole/yellotools wrap bar/etc.. would be helpful for doing this also? bc I've done both (the folding way in the workshop) and I feel like the bumper pole things are a good concept, but i really don't feel like they make bumpers any easier tbh...I always find that it's totally taut all the way around the film, but then that's an issue when you want to work the film in literally any other way other than just the one direction you're pulling the film...you can't compensate with one hand or the other or anything..just wondering since I thought those bumper poles would be a lifesaver, but I feel like you legit have to wrap bumpers with justin pate's method of cutting the backing paper, hinging the middle, + then doing one side of the bumper, then the other - otherwise the thing is pretty useless i feel like....really good concept, like a "why haven't I been using something like this or a broomstick before?" but then actually using the thing it seems like it'd pretty much only be good for doing like cut-lettering or wall decals or something....is there somethin maybe I'm doin wrong with those bumper poles? or do you really actually gotta do it justin pate (almost robotic, haha) style..? Or are they just worthless like I've thought since the very first time I used it to begin with...? Thoughts? just curious as to what you think about the like "life-hack" style tools that are readily available out there, since I know I've asked you before about the vacuum method for sharkfin antennas...
Have to warm up for real man, I know that now!

Would I be able to just remove the bumper? And wrap it like that?
Would it be easier to just take the bumper of and wap it🤔
Now what happens with the bits that house the license plate etc XD Are you just cutting that off and doing a wrap on the inside separately? Should we do that one first before this wrap, or do it after?
Mans be making me money 🤣🤣
So what do I do if the wraps starts getting bunched up at the bottom of the bumper
Do you ever get strech marks in the wrap
I challenge that no one can beat u in wrap competition
Hey Chris, how would you go about wrapping a bumper that's not had paint primer etc on you know the old type which seams to have a orange peel type finish on it??? 😀
@CKWraps

Hey Andy, I'd go about it in almost the same way with maybe a few tweaks depending on adhesion. This technique I'm showing you is good for almost anything. Most likely I'd sand it as smooth as possible before starting
So with pulling it back and going past where you started, does that prevent there being a glue line at that stopping point in the centre of the bumper?
@CKWraps

Vvivid doesn't often get glue lines but keeping your heat away from the line of tension does help with other films
Do you happen to have a list of all the most important stuff you need for wrapping? I think I got a decent list but I don’t wanna order crap that won’t work

Would using an infrared heat light help heat the film more evenly? Compared to using a heat gun for a larger area like the bumper corner.
